We’ve all seen these every single time we check the forums. Anyone saying this should be ashamed.
Halo 4 may have loadouts but I think everyone should commend Halo 4 for its amazing netcode. I say this because I have played Blops2 thoroughly and the game basically decides who’s gun will beat every player regarless of skill before the match starts. Sure I may play Canadians (God Mode against me) here and there but I can consistently pull my average match performance in H4.
Sometimes I get mad at the lag in this game but after returning to CoD for just a while I am so greatful that H4 is around. It made me embarrased that I could ever complain about this Muliplayer regardless of ANY shortcomings I have experienced.
People saying they want to trade in H4 and buy Blops 2 are being rediculous and acting like babies IMO. Until Halo netcode makes me want to put my fist through the TV every game, it will never be anything like CoD.
I love how people always call the next game a CoD rip off. Happened oh Ghost Recon, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Halo is not CoD, it doesn’t play like CoD, and it certainly doesn’t copy it. There are some great ideas that may have originated in CoD but they are different enough for me not to actually make that connection until it’s mentioned.
I personally think all first person shooters copied Wolfenstein 3D.
There I’ve won, it’s credited to be the first FPS that gave us this style of game and beats everything.

lol. Yeah. He’s trying to get Recon. Maybe we should tell him it’s available to everyone this time around.
People that say Halo is basically like COD, obviously doesnt play Call of Duty at all.
1: Killstreaks are a huge thing in COD. There’s no such thing as a killstreak that kills enemies by itself in Halo 4. That’s a huuuuuge difference, if we were able to call in AI-controlled banshees, you know how much hate there’d be in the forums.
2: TTK, time to kill in Halo 4 is much longer than COD. COD Health is 100, Each bullet is 40 for assault, 30 for SMGs, so all you need is 3-4 bullets with automatics. Imagine if DMR and BR were a one burst kill, that is what COD 3-burst weapons are. Lol
3: Spawntrapping, COD has one of the worst spawn systems, in that you can keep enemies spawning in one area of the map, headglitch and kill them as they come out of spawn. On some maps, you can even see enemies spawn and kill them instantly.

The thing I love is most of it is all a direct copy and paste from CoD. I mean look at the kill cams, that’s what they are because there is next to nothing different about them from the ones in CoD. The least 343 could have done is actually made their own type of kill cam like Far Cry 3.

I completely forgot about killcams… Well, just another point to add to the list.
I think the CoD-like elements in Halo 4 are rather undeniable. Still, CoD is just horrible on so many levels it’s not funny.
Consider CoD:
Get shot once in the foot? 50+% chance of instant death.
Leave the protection of substantial cover? Enjoy the rain of missiles.
Like to use your mic but don’t have a party sometimes? You pretty much have to mute-all or succumb to the barrage of squeaky voices shouting vulgarities.
Have a good/great internet connection? Free kills for overseas players.
Enjoy competitive gameplay? The prevalence of boosters, modders and aimbotters have already ruined it and their numbers put Halo’s to shame.
I feel like the majority of the huge H4 haters are the ones who started on H3 and are used to that sluggish gameplay. I love the current gameplay, because it greatly reminds me of H2. I understood all the scrutiny for Reach, but this game is actually a great game as far as I’m concerned.

It’s hard to remember because there are so many. But here’s two more, hit and grenade indicators.
And to anyone saying it’s not a copy because CoD didn’t make these features, well CoD popularized them and you don’t copy who made it you copy who made it popular. And a game is not “growing up” when they add what you call “modern shooter elements”, all their doing is blurring the lines between FPS titles and making them all generic and boring.

Im throwing my money at the screen im glad im not the only one to say it feels like Halo 2
H4 is not CoD. You obviously didn’t play CoD if you think so. The gameplay is somewhat similar, they are FPS games for -Yoink- sake. Go play BF3, MOH, etc. FPS, we go kill people! Cool, so do we in Halo and CoD. Give it a rest. H4 is not CoD. Go play BO2, get shot once in the foot and die, get barraged by missiles from all the people better than you getting all the killstreaks, get frustrated, then come back and complain.
This game is great. Some things need fixing, but it is infinitely better than any CoD out there.
H4 has taken a ton of things from CoD. You’ve seen the lists; I won’t write one up here.
Doesn’t matter who did them first, it’s who’s doing them now. You can steal something from someone who stole it first.
You can say the game doesn’t play like CoD and I wouldn’t completely disagree. Those few seconds per match where I don’t see ord drops, someone using perks, hit markers, grenade indicators, kill cams, instant respawns, join in progress, points instead of kills, loadouts, and no fixed weapon spawns feel a little bit like Halo.
Ha! Would you look at that? I ended up making a list after all.
People who deny the similarities between the two games have their head in the sand.

To anyone saying they are catering to CoD fans, I agree. To anyone who says this is a bad thing, I say you are an idiot. Don’t hate the changes made to the game just because they resemble another game. Halo is the only game that actually has original ideas anymore. 343 just wants to open the game up to everyone, and if they lose a few overly-attached fans, well, so be it. I am a die-hard Halo fan and I welcome the changes as a new set of skills to learn. If you want to play Halo 3, well, go play Halo 3. It is a new game, a new time, and if you can’t get over that, well, suck one.
