Halo is just as good as when bungie made it

I don’t know why people hate halo 4 it was amazing I was extremely satisfied and I’m looking forward to halo 5 guardians

*Unsatisfying multiplayer
*Horrible custom game options
*Downgraded Theater options
*Spartan Ops failed to live up to its potential and constantly reused the same environments over and over again

Those are just brief things I know people hate, I’m sure someone more articulate on the matter could give you a better explanation. Or you could actually read what people have written in other topics instead of making no effort to learn what problems people had with Halo 4.

I’m with you OP… I doesn’t deserve the hate, but there are a number of things that are disappointing.

Spartan ops was horrible for me. I was unimpressed with the didact. Lack of forge options on some maps.

But I don’t hates halo 4

Because it was genuinely a poor game in the franchise, it doesn’t matter if your personal preference is positive towards it when the numbers and facts are against you.

I’m not saying your opinion is wrong, but when Halo 4 released around 750,000 people were playing it and now there’s less than 40,000 each day. There’s a reason for that and I guarantee it isn’t just because of other games.

That’s because Bungie built everything good in Halo 4. None of 343i’s additions to the game (save for some aspects of the Campaign storyline) were what I’d expect from an established AAA franchise. And it’s 343i’s additions and changes that are hated on.

To be fair default Reach settings and Halo 4 infinity settings are equally terrible. So you aren’t wrong.

yup, bungie failed on reach but i think they failed more than 343 on 4

I’d call Reach a far superior game to Halo 4. It kept it small so when it missed the mark it wasn’t the end of the world.

Halo 4, however, threw in everything and the kitchen sink. When the pieces missed, it set off a chain reaction and dragged down the whole thing. Any salvageable aspects were drowned out amid all the failures.

That being said, if 343 was going to experiment with a ton of stuff, Halo 4 was the title to use. It was an end console game that could never have the spit and polish and functionality of a new XB1 title. I’m okay with its failing, so long as 343 learned their lessons. I feel they did.

Halo 4 was missing at lot of things and had a number of (arguably) jarring changes. For me, the good stuff was really good, but the bad was pretty pretty glaring.

To be honest, i want a reskin of halo 3 (not literally) but for halo 5. just so we could gain some confidence in 343 cuz to be honest I’m still very skeptical about guardians. halo 6 could be were they really step it up a notch…

i honestly thought it was better than reach but still a step in the wrong direction…

No its not whatever fairytale game your playing it isnt halo 4. With its god awful connection matchmaking system. Its cheaters (yes i said cheaters because there are)
There have been problems gone unresolved since the games release. The fact that if my partners in team doubleskeep quitting im suppose to stick it out and watch my KD get murdered or else im penalized for leaving early? or i join an already lost game where all they need is 2 kills to go? If this is how 343i does business cya bye i wont even bother with MCC ill jut stick with Destiny

What?

Pretty much that.

deal with the f’in host lagging a lot better. i am sick and tired of games that only record half the f’in score.

Less team incentive.
Less community involvement by comparison to past titles.
Poor map design.
Stale campaign, pushing buttons is not my thing.
Theater downgrade.
Armor linked to commendations fail.
Poor menu navigation.
Join in Progress should be optional.

There is a lot more balance in the multiplayer these days, I think it was just balanced too late for the majority of players.
I still find it fun, just a lot of room for improvement.

Every Halo game had strengths and weaknesses. The parts of this game that keep people playing long term were its weaknesses.
