The REAL reason Halo 2 and 3 were popular was because the gameplay was new and fresh for consoles. Now anyone who says that today would be lying they need to change it up. I think we can expect another Halo 2 in the future but not in terms of it just copying Halo 2 but by improving and adding onto Halo 4 for the better.

> > What about that little letter that’s called a “grade” on your report card? or how about when your parents tell you you’ve done a great job? How about when you playing baseball and you had the best average on the team? I guess all these types of tings are pointless to you. Maybe just some of them are? Well that’s usually how it goes. Just because you are bad at the game doesn’t mean others that strive to improve their game do not care about seeing a rating implying how skillful they are. Have you ever asked “what’s the point of playing a video game?”. What is the point really? Usually the point is to ackomplish something…such as beating a campaign. You can make fun all you want but the reality is that people want a rating to reflect how skillful they are…and they want to be able and see other peoples ratings as well. It makes the game more fun and something to aim for. Those numbers do have value as they give you braggin rights against all the terrible players such as yourself that might talk a bunch of smack…that’s just one example. Being the best at something does have value so you can stop with that complete stupidity. There are more than one example as to why ratings for games make them more fun. Some people are more competitive and like…get this…competition. Maybe next time you go bowling you can just not keep score because you just like throwing a ball at pins. As for the rest of us with some competitivness in our blood, we like to see how good we are and how bad you are.

> Answer these questions : Does COD have this? If not, then why is that game so successful on Xbox?
In my own personal opinion…it would be this - Halo and COD are two of the same kind of games in general that the compete for the same players more or less. There is a nich of these players that were typically Halo fans or COD fans. So…you had a fan base that liked COD for their reasons and then people who liked Halo for other reasons. COD is more about a sneaky, wait and hide, realistic type of game for casual gamers to play on. It’s fun, and honestly it plays nearly identical to Halo in movement and so forth. I actually loved playing Modern Warefare 2…but after about a month I become bored with no ratings…in addition to other things but that’s another story.
In the end, people chose each game for different reasons. The highly competitive player base is not playing Halo 4 right now…so where have they done? Maybe they’re playing BO2 because honestly that game is better than halo4. Now that neither game is based on competitive play…COD is just way better and it hurts me to say that as I’ve played more hours of halo than you can imagine.
So basically COD had already grabbed that nich of players that enjoy that type of game. When Halo 4 decided to go after COD’s player base…they were going up a great game…and one that is actually better than halo when halo ignores the competitive aspect that attracted so many players. It’s not easy to just grab all the players from a COD franchise that has a grasp hold of it’s own fan base.
That is the reason I would give you. Just my opinion…
