I’m becoming concerned for the future of the halo franchise. I see one side of halo nation (do we still call the community by that name?) supporting 343 in trying their hardest to make halo 5 better, and the other side feeling frustrated on the slow and painful lack of content and fixes. I think collectively we can agree that the franchise needs a help and a boost! Firefight was the best addition so far that we could have to help the game! But the game needs more work! Those who support halo 5 are right, because they are seeing the possibilities of the video game to become exciting! I agree that warzone is a great idea, but it needs to be improved on, and so those who criticize halo 5 are right too.
I’m concerned by the recent revelations that halo 5’s development was SUPPOSEDLY radically changed or delayed. It makes sense that 343 gave us free DLC. Finally, I see an overall trend that 343 is trying to get ahead in development and at the same time make innovate in new ideas and gameplay!
Thats all I have to say right now. What do you guys think?
Read some of my threads. It might clear the situation.

Halo is called Call of halo now
i agree with you a lot think they are trying their hardest it isn’t 343i but Microsoft who messed with the game

Um how is it microsofts fault? Microsoft had it from start. It’s solely 343 they have terrible management that’s all there is to it
I personally think you over dramaticising the situation. Halo’s near future seems pretty rock solid with HW2 coming out next year and H6 presumably afterwards. Content updates seem slow, but at least they keep coming as of now. Post launch support for this game has been phenomenal, which has kept me playing Halo consistently every month since launch. Many fans probably feel frustrated because Halo is changing in large and subtle ways that turn them off to the franchise all together, but there are enough new and old fans who keep enjoying the new content. I personally think Halo isn’t dying or “in a bad situation”, it’s changing and that’s causing lots of growing pains so to speak. For better or worse Halo seems to be in a fair situation as far as I can tell.

Only by those who have no idea what they’re talking about
microsoft created 343 to continue on the halo franchise. they own and control 343 industries. The problem is that Microsoft is trying to make money off the game through req packs (aka micro microtransactions). however, 343 is responsible for the story telling of the campaign, and the game content.
there’s too much interference between the game content and money.
343 fault is the campaign story and game content
microsofts fault is req packs (microtransactions)

Not really microsofts fault at all. Microsoft is actually the reason halo was so popular back then. It’s the fact that 343’s management is so bad and they have people from other games. Microsoft isn’t really responsible for 343s actions. 343 does everything with halo. Microsoft only helps out with the champion ship series. If it was Microsoft it would of happened with Bungie a long time ago

I’m not saying that the franchise is dying, instead I was arguing that specifically halo 5’s development worries me that future halo games will deal with similar content cuts and micro transactions (in which money could be raised elsewhere like merchandise or books etc.) And like I was saying about the relationship between microsoft and 343 is too involved.

I think that 343 should have little more independence from Microsoft is all that I’m arguing, because in my opinion the relationship isn’t working. I agree that both Microsoft and 343 need each other, but you need a difference between making money from the franchise and create a fun video game.

Explain the population issues in the game in both MCC and halo 5? There is not many people that play these games because of what’s happening to it. Series are exposed to be different but the same. Halo is halo COD is COD. When you combine games together that’s stealing others ideas and using them as your own. The reason in h5 people run into people twice their rank and skill is because there isn’t a lot of people playing so they need to throw someone random in there to start the game.
I’m not aware of population issues with Halo 5. Can you show me some evidence of this?

Glad too! The only thing h5 has is a good matching system. I’m a gold all the time and I’m facing diamonds and onyx’s here and there. Halo MCC has a bigger population even proven by the market place. MCC just sucks because the matching system isn’t as efficient and can’t find people fast enough. Plus remember Halo MCC has more game modes which people go into different modes which is why you can’t find people in some game modes. Usually playing by yourself in MCC you’ll get a match because party matching doesn’t work well in that game. Halo 5 doesn’t have as many playlists… They have warzone and some Gamemodes in arena.

That’s not really evidence… More so personal experience.

The market place has a list of most played games. Halo MCC was above halo 5 for a while. If it’s down now it’s most likely because it’s free for the weekend which is why there is more people. Once they fix MCC I’m sure that game will have a bigger population

Not trying to intrude , but please , show me where 343 has given support to TMCC since H5 launched.

I never said they have MCC support. I said MCC is on the most played. The market place showed that the MCC had more players than halo 5 did for a while. I think it’s funny how that broken game had more players than halo 5
