The AAA gaming industry has undergone massive changes in the last decade, one of the biggest and most popular introduction has been Micro transactions, we saw them introduced into Halo for the first time in Halo 5. The though of Micro transactions in a fully priced $60 game should make anyone skeptical. The fans however have put up with it even though they are deeply flawed. Now Microsoft/343 have gone too far. Whether or not you support the ability to buy Weapons for the month of mythic you should be able to recognize this is only the start.
I ask you, if month of mythic turns out to be a success, how long until they decide to push this as a regular? Do you think if this turns out to be a goldmine they are not going to exploit it? The fans are divided now more than ever, and it is time that we at least say no to pay to win. The REQ system in general is another debate but using the REQ system like this, to exploit fans who would buy there certifications instead of earning them like everyone else is wrong. This system must be stopped before it’s too late. We have the ability now to dictate the outcome of the REQ system and to stop Pay-To-Win features in Halo 6. Vote with your Wallets, dont spend a dime on Halo 5 until 343/Microsoft understand this system goes against everything Halo stands for and goes against the very community that supported this franchise.

PL****EASE KEEP THESE ARGUMENTS CIVIL AND FAIR. LET’S DISCUSS WHAT IS ON OUR MINDS AND WORK TOGETHER TO FIND A SOLUTION.
I want microtransactions out personally.
Yeah, but I feel like I voted with my wallet too late. I bought that abomination called “halo” 4 and tMCC disaster, but I haven’t given 343 Incompetencies any money since because of their unapologetic track record.
HW2 isn’t getting any of my money either considering what has been going on and the shady tactics in that game as well.

If the gaming community in general had the type of mentality and control over there wallets you have, the gaming industry would not be in the state it is today. But here we are, actually having to tell 343 that Pay-To-Win mechanics do not belong in a Halo game. The golden age of gaming is over. Now we have to hope we can just buy a $60 game and not be at a disadvantage.

If we keep up the fight we’ll get a better age then just gold.
Keep strong people!
I doubt it’s pay to win, in Warzone you pull reqs and then get instantly rekt.
Not till they tamper with Arena then you can complain.

You get “rekt” by people who usually are using top tier weapons. Prophets bane is a top tier weapon. Not to mention even if you disagree just because you may die using them, this is only the start of a Pay-To-Win system. How much longer till you can skip the grind and just buy a Scorpion? Or just buy a Banshee or just buy a Phaeton, the issue is much less you will die when you pull it out so who cares and more along the line, is this start of something worse?

If you seriously fear people having better reqs than you…BREAKING NEWS… everyone who’s finished the grind has them already in massive supply, that being said if anyone is spending 10 American dollars plus tax on this joke of a pack they need to catch up or something. Also farming Clans are really a bigger issue on the tipping the balance dialogue, but after WZFF dropped I haven’t really touched any PVP modes other than to get the Arena rank for that season pack.

It’s not the fear of people having better REQs it’s the fact they can buy them and not have to face the grind as everyone else because they shelled out additional money on top of a fully priced game. Imagine Halo 6 launches on day 1, you buy the game, you go onto Warzone or whatever and people have top tier weapons just because they bought them right away. Imagine not ever having to worry about running out of an item because you know you can throw cash at the game to solve your worries. Halo use to be a game where everyone was equal and it all boiled down to skill.
Now a player can simply buy an item and have an advantage over everyone in just a few minutes. While farming clans are a huge problem, the average gamer is still going to have a bigger problem just because they don’t want to shell out money for an item.
Also you seem to be missing the bigger problem, this is not just about the Prophets bane, this may very well and most likely be a step to an all out Pay-To-Win experience.

Day one or the very last day someone is always going to do better while someone does worse. If they truly are cultivating a pay to win environment then people will abandon the game from the get go because typically pay to win games are mostly free to play games, mobile games, & MMOs who nickel and dime gullible and willing “whales” into spending thousands of dollars on shiny cosmetic garbage for their avatars or whatever. The current Req system is like at most 1% pay to win since all Warzone playlists are unbalanced disasters intentionally. I mean nobody should care about K/D, W/L, Stats and what not it’s just a game and unfortunately we all don’t have a small fortune to play to win.
A message from Mr, Chief: “You need a weapon!” Spartans, target every prophets bane spammer with extreme firepower, make sure this weapon does not get the upperhand; snipe him, camp him but whatever you do just don’t get close. The prophets bane is your enemy during the Month of Mythic Spartans, even if it is used on your team; eradicate it at all costs, hooah!..
