Before any of you get mad and sad let me just say this is my opinion.
im so glad that halo master cheif collection came out because that’s the halo I know and love. I remember when halo was timeless, no matter what the next game was that came out halo had more of a community playing it. Halo has compleatly fell off on what it was based on. 343 is milking this series’s so much it is cringe worthy. I’m honestly debating on buying this next halo game. Halo 4 was a complete disappointment to many halo fans and halo 5 looks like it will crash and burn in the same manner. Halo 2 & 3 were by far the most popular and loved halos so why change the game so much. I mean this weapon countdown, no respawn time and AR that is compleatly OP is just stupid. Why even use precision gun? I don’t even know how the ranking is gonna be but I assume it’s gonna be pointless like the past 2 halos were. Halo fell off and is never coming back.
the only good thing to happen in halo is sprint but for God sakes this beta gameplay is straight trash and 343 should feel ashamed for ruining a great video game.

I take it you’ve played the beta already and have an informed opinion on it being trash based on actual facts and not mere impressions based on videos? I have done neither and will wait for the beta to make an informed decision.

Yeah, and hate to break it to ya, but halo 4 being like CoD was only like, the 3rd reason for that game to lose population. The other 2 are CoD and battlefield. Oh, and halo 5 is more like halo 2 and 3 than halo 4 ever was, and timeless? Hardly. If it really was “timeless”, then why did call of duty on the Xbox one ALONE have twice as many sales as MCC? So, you’re ignoring how there are respawn times, no loadouts, descope, weapon pick ups, map control, low aim assist, and thruster packs take away nothing from the gameplay. and did you read what i said about the sales thing, or is that the one point you cannot counter?

As far as I know this helps newer players get acclimated to the nature of Halo. Plus it will increase the challenge of attaining power weapons. Plus x2, this would also substitute the need for mic’s if someone enters matchmaking on their own. Just today I ran into a group of people who were thankful their full team had mics because its hard for teamplay. With the automatic call outs and announcements, this somewhat remedies this problem.

LOL people still believe CoD and BF competition is the biggest reason for Halo 4’s population decline? Wow.
You can like the game all you want, but refusing to believe the population decline was the fault of anything except for Halo fans not enjoying Halo 4 as much as the earlier games is nothing but denial.

I understand that halo 4 wasn’t as good as the older halos, i also understand that Call of duty and battlefield are far more popular than halo. so if you think that CoD and battlefield are not reasons, then you are in denial as well.

I guess it must have just been a coincidence then that the day black ops 2 came out was the day 4’s peek pop went from 350k the day before to 200k.
You know OP, I won’t claim that Halo is done for, but I do agree with you to an extent. I’m not really feeling the franchise as much as I used to. I don’t plan on buying the MCC, I stopped purchasing the books a while ago, and I hate that the series is heading dangerously close into milking territory. Halo 5 reviews (not the beta; the actual game) will determine whether I’m officially done with Halo or not.
“cringe worthy” is quickly becoming the most annoyingly overused and nonsensical phrase on the internet. Do you even know what it means to cringe? Why would the milking of a franchise make you cringe?
On topic, I’m pretty much indifferent about the changes. I’ll see if I like them when I actually play the game.

Maybe if 343 hadn’t released the most broken game in the last few years and had their name and the brand tarnished, people wouldn’t have avoided MCC in favor of CoD AW, an extremely functional and fun game. We’re 5 weeks after launch and we still can’t play with a party, this game is a joke.
