Yeah exactly. like one ‘perk’ let your vehicle drive faster and I think also made vehicles you used had slightly more health.
Oh.
Well, I’d like to see loadouts like the ones that Reach had return.
I wouldn’t but anyway the ‘perks’ were called tatical packages.
I think I sort of remember now.
Yeah, those tactical packages (and support upgrades?) would probably not be very good in Infinite.
The reason i don’t like loadouts is because I don’t want someone starting out with say a DMR or BR on the other side of the map instantly spawn camping me or something like that I like where people all start out even and use their skills to gain better equipment instead of starting with better equipment. Also if you want BR starts just go to ranked, please because they have BR starts.
I don’t think spawn camping happens in Infinite.
I wasn’t saying I’d like loadouts to return just to start with a BR.
Also, I’m not sure what you mean by using skills to get better equipment.
Are you talking about someone’s ability to rush to things before others, even on the same team?
No i’m talking about learning the maps… which at this point is very easy since we have few maps though the silly random spawns in social kinda throw that off. Halo 1 and 2 didn’t have equipment , and suffered from the same problem of people rushing to certain weapons/vehicles…
I don’t see that as being much more than memorization.
Also, the random spawns are stopping spawn camping as far as I can see.
I’m talking about Random weapon spawns, not player spawns.
Are they random each match or during matches?
Also, I’ve seen them appear somewhat consistently.
It just changes based on the mode, from what I can see.
random per match like one game there will be a needler at one spawn cabinet thing the next it’ll be a sentinal beam it’s the same with power weapons On launch Facility there’s this one by the flag base for one flag that can spawn a skewer or a SNiper rifle, Yes learning the maps is memorization but it’s also about learning the small details about a map like foot traffic in certain areas, or good places for cover, for example there’s one place in Recharge i hide with the oddball that Ai players can’t seem to get to and that some players kinda ignore… As the game goes longer into it’s life cycle some players will learn these details and use them to give them slight advantages like for a second example staying in less traveled areas to recover or regain bearings on what’s going on.
Have you checked to see if they stay the same for each mode?
Yes i have and they swap per match.
It’s weird that I haven’t noticed that.
Well, if that’s true, it sort of makes it pointless to try to learn the spawns then, right?
yeah which was a key thing back in halo 3 and such… though there as far as I know only 2 options for each spawn so you can still kinda learn them the other issues I’ve seen on maps like High power one team will get a Hydra and the other will get a ravenger… this creats a problem on gametypes like CTF and Stockpile where you have actual bases you spawn at, if you want a hydra and your at the ravanger base you have to go to the enemy base which could be swarming with the entire team.
I’m not sure how those two actually compare.
The Hydra’s been quite useless to me compared to the Ravager even with the lock-on, but maybe I’m using it wrong.
well in high power the wasp is easily taken down by the Hydra the lock on is very good for taking out vehicles I dunno about the ravenger though I can do decen with the hydra ,but I’ve yet to find a good use for the Ravenger.
I use the Ravager like I use the Shotgun, Mangler and some other weapons in the game.
Shoot and punch.
I think that works usually.
If the Hydra easily destroys vehicles, and the Ravager doesn’t, that’s quite unbalanced.
I liked that too but i was stating the earliest example of actual customization since in halo CE (1)you did not see your custom color in CE unless you were in ffa games since your team color ovrrided your custom color in halo 2 your secondary color became you primary I think. or maybe it was just your secondary.
I honestly need to try to use the ravenger more, my shotgun style is from the first 3 games with the pump action (or dual maulers in halo 3) shotgun so i’m use to one hit kills at extremly short ranges.
