I’d have to say that is a matter of perspective and preference. You likely enjoyed the aggressive fast-paced combat of H5 when many of us were turned off by it for being too similar to other games that came out at the same time. It was a period where many of us old fans felt that Halo was losing its identity.
It has its identity back now, there’s nothing else quite like Infinite except for Halo Reach, with some of the more interesting features from H5 adding spice to the mix. That is, what I feel, to be the most ideal product.
alright, i’l admit. the gameplay isn’t entirely bad, it has its moments with fun. but i’l happily admit that it has many of issues. it’s alright, slightly above halo 5 in terms of best, and i do quite like halo 5’s gameplay. but 6 years? i dunno… it really feels like a lot more could’ve been done with it. it’s fun, but it needs a lot of work
because halo was kinda built off of being able to customize and change your space barbie. ya know… SINCE THE FIRST GAME. sure it wasn’t much, but it was still colors. the second game gave the option to play as elites. the third game gave more armor customization to both. and reach expanded on this more, gave an incentive to play the game, work towards a win and play the objective. MCC still gives xP based on how good you did in the match, rank up or CASUALY do a weekly, and ya got a piece of armor as a reward. something to show ‘yes, i didn’t completely waste my time with this game. this is my spartan evolving as i am too with bettering at this game’
this excuse of yours would work better if it was CoD, since that game didn’t really care about character customization until recent.

Lol if you are gonna troll you gotta be at least somewhat incognito about it. The gameplay obviously sucks and I’m sure you will be moving on to the something else while actual halo fans are stuck with this POS.
The game play is solid. I love that they went back to limited use equipment. The maps seem ok so far nothing spectacular though. However the xp system is just bad… They took a step backwards in cosmetics really. I don’t mind having set sets but why no fully customizable sets that can also be colored any color we want? Also the word is you can’t even replay campaign missions and you have to start all new save files to replay them. How lame is that? How can any one be for that? Quite honestly Infinite clearly should have been delayed again and they are just pushing it out to get it out for the holidays.

yeah anyone who cares about cosmetics are stuck in a closet. i applaud the changes and how halo has evolved and went back to the fundamentals at the same time. if you care so much about cosmetics in a game may i suggest a game called call of duty? maybe battlefield? fortnite?
if you must complain, complain about crap that matters. god sakes, i dont care about not having a stupid sword on my guys hip, it serves no practical purpose, it is literally something for you to go “OMG! HE LOOKS FABULOUS” you left your purse in the woman’s dressing room dude.

Yes and no. The vanilla gameplay, IMO, is some of the best Halo has been. However, the crashes, the missing custom games (and custom game settings), the fact that you can’t retrieve saved custom games offline without crashing, the deficit of options in matchmaking, they all kind of detract from the experience. There’s great stuff here, but there are some choices that drive me kind of crazy and have me a bit worried about the future.
Then please, share with us how cosmetics affect gameplay?

I haven’t touched the multiplayer because of the current issues that we’re all facing, doesn’t mean I’m going to go on a rampage and have a hate-on and say that Bungie did it better. No, Bungie didn’t do it better, they would’ve just made Halo 3 copy-pastes each title; it would’ve been super boring and repetitive. The progression system, armor system and store need massive over-hauls, it’s not like they can change this over-night, by the way. I’m more for the campaign than the multiplayer, me being a campaign first type of guy, I’m waiting and spoiling myself on YouTube, lol.

Also I wouldn’t have played Halo Reach and Halo 5 nearly as much as I did without any cosmetics to unlock. They are a fun extra thing to work towards.

Reach more so because your character was actually integral to the campaign story and I would like to see something like that with Halo infinite multiplayer I want to have more than just PVP and player versus bots I want to actually have something similar to Spartan ops or something that’s like Halo reaches campaign when I saw the trailers for The multiplayer and it said your Spartan story begins here I was actually thinking they were going to be making a story alongside the multiplayer because that’s kind of how they made it out to be
in the past I would look at my friendlist and maybe see 2-5 people out of 75 playing a different game than halo multiplayer. I now see the exact opposite it seams everyone else is playing a different game than Halo infinite multiplayer which this time around is free to everyone. The past it was hard to find anyone to play a different game than halo now it seems the opposite is in effect.

Maybe It’s because dress up was what was promised on the ViDocs they did for Infinites MP? They said we would have lots of customization and yet, we don’t.
