I was used to that as well, but I also used the knife in Call of Duty often, so I’m okay with running up to or waiting around corners for enemies.
yeah I use melee as well but i’m use to stopping sword lunges with the shotgun. I’m not a big fan of the bulldog… I miss the old shotgun, at least it had a realistic feel.
Loadouts in Halo are useless. You might as well just make it BR starts.
You can do that in Infinite if you shoot twice (or was it three times?) or punch them in time, but you’ll both end up losing.
Ranked has BR starts so like I said before, just go ranked if you want BR starts, Just adding on to what you said…

Then go get abilities from the spawners or dead enemies… i wouldn’t be against starting with some abilties but you should all start with the same guns. You can actually set to start with equipment in custom games the option is there ,but you can’t save custom game modes I hear so…
Well, I don’t really think players should start with BRs, but with the Commando like it is, choosing to spawn with it probably wouldn’t be an issue.
Custom games can be saved, I think.
You have make a copy (and change the mode to the copy?).
Then you can edit the copy and save changes.
Something I don’t like is that I don’t think abilities can be made unlimited in custom games, and there’s no matchmaking options for custom games.
I do thnkk abilties need more charges… i can see where they were going with that i guess but… why cooldowns as well?
I’m sorry but armor abilities were horrible. They totally ruined the pace of play and map design. It’s so much better to have everyone begin a match on a totally even playing field and have abilities be limited-use pickups.
I can understand cooldowns, since you could spam abilities otherwise, but like you said, they need more charges.
That or have infinite use and let people swap on the fly by finding others laying around. I fully understand the cooldown what I don’t understand is the combination of Cooldown AND limited uses… without cooldown you could only spam it what 5 times max?
Armor abilities were a problem because they were somewhat unbalanced.
I doubt repulsor can reflect sniper shots and we don’t have armor lock anymore so… Wish we had the bubble shield though the drop wall is pretty much a weakened deployable cover.
Yeah, they were unbalanced for sure in that some were way more useful than others. But they also changed up the core formula of gameplay in a way that just doesn’t fit. All of a sudden you’ve got people totally stopping battles with armor lock or floating around in the sky all the time and it completely throws off the flow of the game, whether or not it’s even really effective.
Not having cooldowns would probably be enough to cause a balance problem, even with the limits.
I think it would be fun to have infinite-use abilities with cooldowns as you said though.
Yeah the drop wall is useless. The Halo 3 bubble shield allowed for so many interesting situations.
They could alter the cooldown to balance it maybe? I think they could make infintie uses work with the right cooldown timer.
I really don’t like the Drop Wall.
That and the Threat Sensor seem really useless to me.
The Repulsor and Grappleshot are very useful though.
People say it slowed down the gameplay, well sometimes people need a breather and slowing down the gameplay for a few seconds allows people to stop and think and you know if your smart you could just walk into the buble shield throw a grenade or shoot the emitter and boom.
