Halo is being bashed by people for no reason.

Ok so through the forum I see lots and lots of people bashing halo 5 and saying that its -Yoink- and its the worst halo and that its just like cod. When I ask them why they think this they only have 2 reasons: They have ads and thruster and it doesn’t fell like halo. The ADS and thruster have been discussed in multiple threads and people saying that it is cod ads and cod thruster gave always been beaten. And how does it not fell like halo (I have reasons why it is halo but the post would go way too long if I put it in)? It feels to me like people are bashing halo for no reason and they just don’t want it to be a good game for some god forsaken reason.

does anyone understand what I’m trying to say and if you do do you agree?

yes because they want the multiplayer to play exactly like halo 2/3 which would be boring since we already had that

No, there’s plenty of reasons. People are probably just tired of repeating themselves, so they don’t bother explaining anymore.

not to mention that thrusters were also a armor ability in halo 4 and ADS is nit your typical ADS it may look like ADS but functions like the classic scope

Outright bashing is pretty rare these days, and whenever it does happen someone immediately creates one of these threads.

Various reasons why various people don’t like Halo 5:
-Gutting features like Elites, BTB (not at launch) and Splitscreen
-They aren’t a fan of the story direction.
-They don’t like the art and music direction.
-They feel the gameplay as a whole is too much of a departure from the classics, and/or too casual, and/or too competitive.
-They dislike specific game mechanics.

That would be the primary reason I think.

I assure you, they are educated human beings with plenty of reasons for not feeling the way you do.

The main factor here is time. As soon as the game hits all those haters or so called “true halo fans” will get lost. While we can play probably one of the best halo games ever.

Yea… they made bad decisions especially on things people were looking forward to have.

I’m not sure why you think losing fans is a good thing for any franchise…

Yea its funny because when he’s all alone playing a match repeatedly against another player that he played with for the last 10 matches he would wonder what happened to the fans.

And I’m sure that it was on purpose by your side to protect haters under the word “fans”. It isn’t a halo exclusive problem. Those spoiled brats always try to hide their senseless opinions under constructive criticism. Ridiculous. A pitiful try without the wanted outcome and now they are crying…

Its the internet bud. Literally Everything is being bashed.

the ONLY thing that is classic halo is equal weapon spawns and that’s not 100% true because war zone you have load outs. Halo 5 is the farthest thing from classic halo. I myself don’t even think or reference it as a halo game. Just some 3rd party that has the license to use the halo name(last time I checked classic halo does not have sprint, thrusters or ads or armor ability son general. Just you and your weapon and your ability to aim
Halo 5 is an insult to classic halo fans. Halo 4 was the beginning of the end. Just like how mw3 was the beginning of the downfall of the cod franchise

ell to be honest, as of late I’m finding these divides in the community to be extremely toxic. At the end of the day, people who disagree with the direction Halo is going in and speak out against it are consumers too. Everyone who buys the Halo series, who likes the Halo series etc is allowed to voice their opinion on its changes. Saying that they are just “haters” and that it will be good for Halo to lose them as consumers is ridiculous. If Halo started to make changes you didn’t agree with and everytime you said “Hang on, I don’t think this is a good idea” someone yelled “hater!” “stop bashing 343!” Etc you would certainly regret having been part of that crowd in the first place.

343i appears to be trying to appease both sides by setting up Warzone for one side and Arena for the other, but I’m not entirely sure whether the fundamental changes caused by the new mechanics will make Arena enough to appease those who prefer the more old school Halo titles. And just because you prefer the new titles over the old ones doesn’t make the opinion of people who prefer the old ones invalid, and vice versa. Its immature, silly and at the end of the day damaging to the Halo series as a whole

Warzone is a casual mode for casual players, so let them have casual mechanics. We have Arena for the competitive experience, which has no load outs. However, BTB isn’t in the game at launch which, when it does, will give people who want BTB the non-casual / “classic” experience… Equal starts, power weapon control, map control, etc.

Just because they add new game mechanics doesn’t make it not Halo anymore, although I see where you’re coming from. I don’t want a repeat of Halo 2 / 3. I can already play those.

I understand Halo is an important game for a lot of people who have played Halo for years during it’s up time, but 343 is taking it in a new direction. I don’t want to be that guy, but no one is forcing anyone to buy or play Halo 5. Some people like it, some hate it, it’s their choice if they want to continue on with Halo or not, but it’s not going to change. Obviously they got player feedback for what they wanted with Halo and this is what they came up with, so that says something.

I don’t want to argue about it though, this is just how I feel from observation.

PS. Your argument that sprint is not competitive is highly flawed, I don’t get it. You sound like you want a repeat of Halo 2 or Halo 3. It’s not going to happen. We have MCC, which, when COMPLETELY fixed I suppose, will be what you want.

Keep sprint and Spartan abilitys in war zone. Have it be your gun and you only in competitive. I want none of that garbage in ranked

they claim that halo is becoming like ‘‘cod’’
but they want halo to be the same thing every year

Things that COD do:
Same games every year
That’s basically what 343 haters want halo to be, be just like COD, no innovation, nothing just blatant copypaste no love or hearts putted into the game.

Halo is a game about innovation it has been that way since the start, its one of the forefathers of the FPS genre, alongside its other founding brothers like DOOM.
Period, Halo 2/3 became popular and amazing because they were innovative and brought amazing things, if these so called ‘‘halo fans’’ which they aren’t want halo to be like 2/3 did, innovation is what it needs, innovation is what games need be shinny.
And that’s what 343 is doing, old school halo, innovation and not copypaste games like COD does.

Games that become popular become popular because they innovate.

Sprint doesn’t make it COD, lmao my dudes have you ever played Arena games on PC back in the day? you’ll know what i’m saying.
Sprint existed before COD on games, and sprint is a human interaction.

Well said.

As for your last statement, those Arena shooters on PC back in the day were good times (was a huge fan of Quake 3 Arena and Unreal Tournament 2k4), so I know exactly what you mean. Halo 5 sort of has that feeling to me, which is why I’m excited for it. I haven’t played a good Arena shooter in a while, since most of them are dead upon arrival it seems.

Sounds like you’re doing the crying. I guess not everyone can take criticism. Shame.
