So it seems that the money they earned on people buying reach armor in the shop was used to make a Halo cookbook.
It seems fair to use that money and time on among us and cookbooks.
343I priorites are top notch.
I can see it clearly now.
Halo Cookbook is mor importent than rodmep.
It’s what makes Halo reach broader audience.
I understand now.
those are completely different departments. Marketing and merchandising doesn’t take devs away from the game. At worst Joseph Staten might’ve looked over a few things for it, and that’s a stretch.
I think Joseph Staten is behind the cookbook.
I think he likes to make food.
Lol who doesn’t like food. Idk his involvement but even if he was co-author on it; doesn’t mean the cook book is robbing you of a roadmap or content. That’d be like saying every new halo figure they release is robbing dev time. It’s not how it works at all.
Yeah, you are totally right.
That’s not how it works at all.
I totally get that, but the optics for this are just so wrong though.
When you have a dying game, and Infinite really is struggling at this point with how many have left it, releasing merchandise is just bad timing. Not to mention the life support for the franchise (MCC) is currently unplayable (and I mean not physically working) for the vast majority of people is a bad look.
Proper planning could have made this cookbook at least go somewhat under the radar.
I don’t think a cook book messed anything up for the players in Infinite, the author is Victoria Rosenthal and she’s not involved with game development. After a quick search, it appears she has made multiple cook books based on various other video games.
The cookbook was coming either way. There’s a cookbook for everything
Did you see the book coming?
Based on recent trends, yeah I guess I did. But, it’s not something I pay attention to. I wasn’t looking forward to the Star Trek or Wakanda cookbooks either, lmao.
Like many have stated, I’m sure the creation of this cookbook didn’t take away anything from the actual game… So you’re complaining about a completely non issue now. If they canceled the book, it’s not like the author of it would just jump on the DEV’s team to help fix and update the game magically.
You are sure… but do you know?
Like, it’s a fact? Or do you just believe you’re right?
So you want an author of a cookbook to be placed on the DEV team when it comes to fixing bugs or making content for this game?
Yeah, this is what you call top notch gaming development ![]()
wth could they possibly make a recipe about beside Moa burgers?
Probably gorilla lasagna and wort wort cocktail
Keyes’ shishkebab?
20 sncdcnsdond
Yeah, how dare they! They should have instead got the author to write code to fix some aspect of the game that is broken.
Surely you haven’t run out of things to complain about, try not to be so petty.
I’m not upset about the book, but if anything, it makes what Frank O’Connor said even funnier. Apparently this cook book is like p**n I guess XD
You know the community has lost it when they are mad about a cookbook…
It’s a cookbook geared towards people who enjoy cooking.
It was made by a complete separate company that the marketing team aka a complete separate team from the actual dev team gave the ok to.
Besides the cookbook isn’t based just on Infinite but from dishes that would be in say a mess hall on Reach or a frigate.
I swear this community has lost all it’s senses when it rages over a cookbook. I get infinite isn’t in a enjoyable state, hell I haven’t played in months. But man people need a reality check if they’re upset over a damn cookbook.
