Hey everyone! I’m Isaac S-717 from the reoccurring RP “Halo: Infinity”. Im sure many of you are thinking “Oh boy, not another topic for this RP…”
And that’s totally cool, just Keep Calm and Carry On haha anyway, I thought it would be nice to give a thread just for the Fans (if any) to speak about the RP. It seems that if anyone did want to say something in the official threads it could be drowned out by the RPers posts.
If any of you readers out there have any suggestions, complaints, concerns, phobias, or something else you can think of…please feel free to discuss them here! And if there are no fans and readers out there… (I will be very sad and cry, but no matter) just let this little thread wither away and dont worry about it xP
Considering I wrote this post 3 times over the same way already, i’ll write it a bit differently this time.
For the last few months, i’ve noticed the Halo: Infinity RP being here, but I never actually looked at it, because it didn’t have its own forum, so I figured it was just a few fans screwing around. I couldn’t have been more wrong. This RP is just as serious and thought out a a dedicated forum RP. So my original question was: Why don’t you have a dedicated forum for this. However, after posting this same question in three threads and getting and answer in the form of “A dozen members”, I see why its stayed here on this forum. However, I find that without its own dedicated forum, people may come to the same conclusion that I originally did. So, while I propose we make a dedicated forum for it and get it organized, and move over already accepted characters, I can make the forum so you don’t have to trouble yourselves. I want to see this RP grow because it seems that it will survive longer than most others. I could be wrong, but you never know.

That is an interesting idea, and I could see it being pretty cool too. We could use our Character profiles as our usernames (so we have more info about each other) and we could more easily organize things.
However, I do like the ease of location (seeing as I use Waypoint a lot anyway), and this is my biggest ‘count booster’ as Haven put it (although I don’t RP because it boosts my count, I think it’s rather fun).
Ultimately, let’s get other RP’ers opinions on it.

Personally I prefer it here. Ease of access, and also how we get more people to join in. We’ve had people join and then leave, and then some people just stop, but if we move to another website, we may stop getting new people to join. Newer members to this certainly add a new twist to it with their way, and let’s face it, RPs aren’t as fun with fewer people.

Actually, we could still recruit using this site. Like I mentioned before, people glancing at the RP probably won’t read more than a quarter to half of the first page, possibly the last page, or maybe the entirety of the first page, which is why so few people join. Its too cluttered. If moved to a new forum, People can read individual things, insteado of walls upon walls of text for 30 some pages straight. We can use this site, to advertise the RP, drawing in prospective members and hopefully, getting them to join. I like my ease of access too, but sometimes things have to be sacrificed for the greater good.

I see what you’re getting at… but maybe someone can summarize what we have done within these last few missions and we can give bios on our spartans so that followers can really follow.
Let me start by saying I’m glad to see that we’re thought of and I appreciate the offer, and thank you. However, I feel it’s a nice change of pace to be on a mass forum rather than one dedicated solely to an RP. There’s a higher chance of people knowing about us being in plain sight, and friendlier ways of selling interest than advertising a link in a recruiting thread with the occasional bump.
Furthermore, I just like the idea of fans being able to see this and think about it as it progresses. Every time they see a new post and ignore it, there’s that chance they might one day click and read it cover to cover.

Dunno what to tell ya. Maybe they didn’t want to offend you. I wouldn’t know.
