Halo Infinite's SR152 Reward ''Watchdog'' should be made available for purchase

Nope, no way, nah ah.

They put the work in.
Hell achillies and helioskrill rewards never would have been devalued like it was.

It simple. You want the skin play halo 5. Not everything has to be for purchase, there is enough in the store right now. For example only $20 for an armor set!

That one really -Blam!- me off, because I really wanted the Zvezda armor set.

Nope. Play for it like the rest of us.

Whoever has earned it deserves to have at least the consolation of thinking that it is a truly unique skin. But the truth is that right now the complaints should be directed to the fact that it is an ugly skin, and it does not look anything like what was promised.

In my humble opinion, there should be more monumental challenges than there are currently. I think it is great to offer things that some people may never get to unlock due to a demonstration of skill or dedication (or rather lack thereof).

And some people can’t necessarily spend $10 to $20 for the various items in the Infinite store yet that doesn’t mean 343 is going to do anything about it.

You could pay someone to play Halo 5 on your behalf. Watchdog purchased.

No your missing the point people who put in the time and effort are deserving of their reward.
They shouldn’t have their work diminished because you have fomo for a skin.

Saying you don’t have time isn’t a good argument.
Some people can’t afford skins either.
I dont have time to become an Olympic level athlete and win the gold either but I don’t expect to be handed one just cause id like to have it.

Dont be selfish.
If people worked hard and grinder they earned it.
I dont see it as being worth the time, wasn’t fond of the game but I don’t want to see other people time and effort undermined.
Respect other players and value the time and hard work they set aside to gain watchdog.

PLEASE NO. My friends and I spent so much time grinding for Watchdog, do not let our time be wasted by being able to pay for it.

After reading this post uh uh absolutely not as someone who has almost finished the grind and is very close and also someone of quit doing this grind twice now due reasons, no this skin should be the only one obtainable through reaching 152. The grind is the most boring thing ever and takes a ton of hours and gameplay. Now everything else like promotionals and pre order items yes they can put those in the store but a hard no on watchdogs period. Also honestly the grind really isn’t worth if your not close and thousands of others would agree that it remains to the 152’s

No. SR152 is an achievement, and the dedicated folks should get their exclusive reward.

Gonna have to give an enormous disagree on this post. I have several friends that spent months grinding those last ranks to make it in time for release and barely made it. They spent years grinding to 152. No amount of money can buy that dedication. If anything, people should be able to still earn Watchdog if they reach 152 in Halo 5 after Infinite releases, since I have friends that only made it to 150 and 151, and there should be special skins for Infinite based on achievements from MCC as well, since classic Waypoint let you unlock Reach armors by playing other Halo games.

They should never sell us what we earn through dedicated hard work, but that dedication takes time, so I believe there should also not be a time limit on those trying to grind without an unhealthy obsession

I have to completely disagree with you.
As someone who put in the time and effort to earn the 152 reward I would be absolutely devastated if they added it to the store.
I speak for everyone who earned it, it should NOT be put into the store as it will devalue it

Hell no it was earned through gameplay and it should stay that way.

Disagree. making it purchaseable makes it a worthless paint job. No one would wear it and it wouldn’t have felt earned. When you say this, you don’t realize how useless the paint will be with this change.

Nope, that’s a hard disagree from me.
Halo 5’s max rank reward has hard to obtain and incredibly underwhelming.

Watchdog is something to compensate those players. Having it available for everyone no longer makes that item special or exclusive to those who spent the time to earn it.

Rewards in Infinite are single source. You want Watchdog? Play Halo 5 and get max rank - it’s really as simple as that.

Something that should be considered is that all of the information that was provided from the blog posts was “work in progress” and as such, it was in subject to be changed. In this instance, this message became a part of reality and some changes has been made since this armor coating got announced.

For me, I don’t have any real opinions about the Watchdog Armor / Weapon Coatings other than that it would be a true disgrace to the community if these items got available through different means than reaching SR152 in Halo 5. In addition to that, a such decision would also undermine the effort spend by some individuals to unlock these items.
