Halo Infinite's Spartan Rank 152 Reward Limited?

Hey there I was wondering if we have confirmation if the reward for reaching Spartan Rank 152 in Halo 5: Guardians is going to be limited to Halo Infinite’s Launch or if we will be able to achieve it after the launch of Halo Infinite.

Judging by how if you watch nightfall or beat Halo 2 legendary you get the Nightfall armor or Helioskril armor after Halo 5 been released. So it is possible that it’ll be available on release and after. Besides there’s more legacy rewards that we don’t know about.

There isn’t any official confirmation on that but I would assume you can earn it after Infinite has launched.
With that being said I do think Halo 5 will experience a huge drop in players. Grinding 152 after Infinite could become very hard due to a lot less players playing Halo 5.

Especially since it’s current population isn’t massive. Once Infinite comes out I think most people are gonna leave Halo 5, especially considering the game is gonna be free, they can just download it off the bat. Also consider Flighting. Once flighting hits, alot of folks from MCC and Halo 5 are gonna dip.

There’s also a decent chance that some people will prefer 5 over Infinite and stay with Guardians. Probably a significantly small number, but there should be enough there to get lobbies going.

No word on that yet. But I assume it doesn’t matter when you unlock it as long as you finish the requirements. Halo Reach was like that with legacy rewards and so was Halo 5 (to a certain extent).

So, it’s on me, I get that… but I didn’t bother to reach max rank in Halo 5 since there was very little incentive to do so (I’m SR 110.) I think they could have made a more accessible option to get the unlock for Halo Infinite than reaching 152… like, to me, there was no reason to reach 152, you didn’t get a fancy armor set, visor, or weapon skin… just a nameplate. So people like me just reached whatever level we felt like slowing down at and tried to just enjoy the game at that point. I made sure I had unlocked all the armor you can get without buying any of those exclusive armor packs, except full Achilles… the company I was in was super close to getting the helmet then I got removed after just a couple days of not playing and didn’t bother to join another to go through all that again just for a helmet. (Which is also kinda lame since it’s super time consuming.)

So yeah, anyone have some more accessible ideas they could of implemented for people so they could get that infinite set if they pulled a me? Lol

LOL i’m in the same boat. I literally put the game down for years until earlier last year (spring/summer) when I started back on the forum/H5. I think i was around 120’s or 130’s when they announced those Legacy rewards (mind you there are still more to come/unannounced). I’m sitting almost 1/2 way through 150 now. Need to average 98k per day until September 1 to get to 152. There really is no easy way of getting there.

The BEST option that the community has almost reached an unanimous consensus on (that in and of itself is a BIG deal given our community) is to: play Mythic Firefight with a team (makes the matches much more enjoyable if you’re with people/team and can average a match anywhere between 11-15 minutes). Matches turn out more XP/min than any other playlist (on average), use your XP boosts, go for the ‘W’, save points for packs to get vehicles and the occasional “Warzone XP packs” that come out (last time they were out was December). Good luck Spartan!

Man, having a team for firefight sounds great, I just need a group. Everyone I know has pretty much given up on Halo 5.

Feel free to add me. There’s quite a few of us that get together from this forum almost daily. I’m more limited given my job but there’s almost always people on. 95% keep their lobbies ‘Joinable’. Xbox tag is same as forum name.

I’ll do that, thanks. :slightly_smiling_face:

As of now, the reward has not been confirmed to be a limited window of opportunity. You can still receive many of the uniquely unlockable H5 armor, so we have to believe that Infinite will be the same.

I know it’s quite late for me to complain about it now, but why is rank 152 the bar for this cosmetic reward? I have played Halo 5 for almost 1,090 hours. I am only at rank 149, and XP progress is glacial at this point. How is the amount I’ve played not good enough for this cosmetic reward? Yes, I acknowledge that I am not an excellent player. Ultimately, this isn’t that big of a deal, but it’s kind of irritating.

I suppose one thing is that I haven’t played much War one, and I know that offers more efficient XP gain. I do try it from time-to-time, but I just can’t seem to enjoy it very much.

That is true, you can still be able to unlock the Mark VI Gen 1 and Scarred Armor from playing MCC and you can still get the Helioskrill from getting the Legend Achievement.
