Halo Infinites Physics and Mechanics

We know there isn’t grenade jumping, friendly fire, player collision. What throws me off besides what was stated and what I have a problem with so much so that I can’t say that this game is no different from say Halo 4 is the following :

  • You don’t have player collision but grenades can bounce off teammates and they can stop shots… alright.

  • I feel there’s a lack of momentum and weight in the movement as far as walking, and strafing is concerned. Cause with Reach and 4 you saw a big improvement in animation quality to the movement. Even fast strafing looked natural. Now it looks…goofy and unnatural. Matter fact it has the animation quality of CoD.

  • Inconsistent animation when a player is launched in the air or falling. The character model doesnt look like it’s experience gravity and falling…it just looks like they are standing on air.

  • Hammer Physics, I don’t need to say much do I? Ragdoll people!!! Matter fact, the Skewer again should be piercing players and sending them flying and get pierced through a wall. Gives it that personally.

  • you can chalk this up to game mechanic but the melees man…there seems to be a delay after the hits cause mfs still somehow shoot me with a rocket after I clearly hit them when their shield is GONE.

Overall: Infinite definitely feels like it’s a free to play game. I’m hoping the campaign feels like genuine article with fine tuned animation and physics. Usually that’s what happens, a game with single player mode has overall higher quality than it’s multiplayer counter part but somehow Halo was consistent across the bored. But now I fear this free to play aspect has made it suffer. The game LOOKS beautiful but, even Halo 3 as old as it looks like it had more effort put into the little things that give it life.
