Halo Infinite's mission replay isn't going to work

There is 15 missions in the campaign and a few of them coincide with the open world. Is there going to an invisible wall now? Where do we “spawn” at since we can enter most of these missions at any angle with any weapon and vehicle?

Or did you guys just want to repeat half of those missions where you are preloaded in an area away from the open map? Even then, there is even an equipment leveling system where you can progress without upgrading… so what do we have in terms of our equipment that we also progressively get through the campaign?

I just don’t think this is thought through enough on the community’s wishes. 343i definitely didn’t intend on making the campaign missions replayable. I see it supposed to play like Batman Arkham games or Spiderman PS5. Asking to replay missions, even if its just to pre-loaded ones, is still asking for half the campaign. Some campaign dialogue even triggers when free-roaming too outside of missions by the way.

I assume there’s some form of trigger for the missions of some kind.

That would be a logical place to start.

Why wouldn’t it work? We’d just have to cut out the open world stuff. Maybe add a few cutscenes showing Chief land in a couple of zones in his particular Chief fashion.

Just set it up like a linear game. Now, I realize that this is all not that simple and may take a year or two, but hey. There’s plenty of things to be doing during said years.

I find it more likely replayable missions will just be something you do by interacting with that mission’s icon on the map in-game, as opposed to the classic system of picking from a list in the main menu. At which point it will behave just like it does when you play through the campaign normally.
