Halo Infinite's Customization

Ever since Halo 3 came out, we got choose what our Spartan looks like, and let’s people choose what their Spartan wants to look like.

Halo CE - No customization but a first game and classic so that’s fine.
Halo 2 - Introduced playable elites which was awesome.
Halo 3 - Introduced the customization for Spartans and elites.
Halo 3 ODST - Customization for firefight.
Halo Reach - An improved customization from Halo 3. Best one ever.
Halo 4 - Good customization but two mistakes were removing playable elites and credit system was awful.
Halo 5 - Disappointing the way customization looks and had to unlock them in a req pack which sucks. Also the awful microtransactions.

I think Halo Infinte needs to bring back playable elites, make the helmets look more real and bring lots of customization for Halo Reach.

Post your opinions and thoughts about Halo Infinite’s customization.

Halo 4 didn’t have a credits system. You unlocked stuff by progressing through your specialization/Spartan rank and by completing commendations.

Looking specifically at how armor was earned, I’d argue that both Reach and 4 were on par with each other. While I prefer Reach’s armory from an aesthetic standpoint, both games had tons of armor to choose from and work toward.

I honestly prefer the Reach style customization because instead of how Halo 4 and 5’s menu looked for the armor, in Reach, all of your veriants were right in the same menu with what helmet or piece you wanted. Where as with Halo 4 and 5, the veriants are all over the place and it takes so long to go through everything.

I recently watched a video on Anthem’s customization, it’s insane. It had things like 4 different layers of colours, a full colour wheel, surface textures like cloths/metals, shiny, matte, surface wear like grime, chipped, brand new, had tons of patterns that you could apply to the different surfaces, and then it had vinyls you could apply to any armour. Now THAT is a customization system. I immediately thought “I’m gonna make my guy look like a battle hardened spartan”, I want H6 to have that level of customization.

EDIT: it also had the Reach style helmet, arms, torso, legs style thing, if not all the other stuff this is a must.

I just want external “blow out” ammo racks on my Spartan like back in Reach. Give me that and I will be happy.

Installation 01 is looking into going even larger than Reach. You will be able to replace everything… and I mean, EVERYTHING. If anything, Infinite should have as many customization options as possible. If Installation 01, a fan-game, is going to have one that’s larger than a AAA game, then the next AAA game SHOULD have that system and maybe expand on it.

Favourite for me is definitely Reach when it comes to customization, followed by H4. If they were to have a credit system like Reach for majority of armours, with some having to be unlocked through special tasks, that’d be perfect for me (as long as the depth of customization is greater than or equal to that of Reach).

Last thought: for the love of God no micro transactions and loot crates of any form. I want to know what I want, then work towards it and earn it, not randomly receive it based off of chance.
