You can want to see it all you want. A mainline Halo game isn’t going to go third person. The closest you’ll get to third person is vehicles and turrets.

Play gears it effectively is 3rd person halo.

I’m not opposed to a spin-off Halo game going 3rd person. A Flood survival game as a marine in Voi could be cool as 3rd person. I just don’t like the idea of making a mainline Halo game not an FPS.
It would be cool to have the option of third person, but not to replace first person.
I played Halo Reach 3rd Person Mod and enjoyed it very much! It’s just a personal preference like anything else.

I agree that a spin off could go 3rd person. But I think a survival game would be a lot more scary and immersive if it’s first person.
Well the only problem with that is in multiplayer, you’ll have more advantage than those wo play in first person.
But in campaign would be possible.
