Halo infinite

What is the best way for 343 to move forward in regards to game-style?
I know many people (including myself) are fans of the newer halo 4 and 5 styles.
But many many more people are fans of the original game-style.
So how do 343 keep everyone happy?

Give the fans a little bit of everything. They distanced themselves in gameplay with Halo 4 but then got a little closer to bringing back the even gameplay field in Halo 5. In my personal opinion, I didn’t mind the change in gameplay for the Halo titles made by 343 Industries. The Spartan Abilities in Halo 5 made the spartans actually feel like super soldiers in game. The loadouts in Halo 4 allowed our spartans to feel more personalized. I’m personally open-minded with whatever 343 releases. But I cannot speak for everyone since alot of people I know resented the changes in gameplay unfortunately. But that applies to anywhere, you cannot please them all.

I like the newer graphics too, I was hoping that they combined they two, which they did. They even included halo legends as the art style. But spartan abilities and sprint should be added to satisfy both ppl

There is no how & no way to keep everyone happy, and whats best to do depends on what the end goal is.
Whether they want to maximize profits, create or strenghten an existing strong fanbase or something different?

Maximizing profits can range a bit depending whether it’s a short term or long(er) term plan, generally it’s about riding the trends accompanied by milking the existing brand, the short term just adds the element of minimizing the losses in development resulting in players becoming essentially beta testers & game requiring multiple patches to work properly creating the monster of a harddrive eater, in worse cases adding various forms of microtransactions in a fully priced game while creating artificial grind, as an example, to make the microtransactions more appealing.
Creating a core fanbase on the other hand can be hard at the start, or even beginning to strenghten it too. It requires making a quality game though through which gameplay path is optional as long as the games are consistent or at least sensible, in existing franchises that means respecting the source material.
And truly continuing an existing franchise has it’s own ups & downs, the ups are along the lines of, for example, brand carrying the early continuation but the examples of negatives could be something like less artistic freedoms as the franchise already has existing events & settings, the effect of those are dimished abit if there happens to be noticeable timejump lorewise.

But yeah, they can’t make everyone happy, no matter the mix & matches, it’s just about choosing a path & who they want to make happy, if that is one of their goals.
Obviously studio is not an collective entity with various people who have various goals for what they do.
