Halo Infinite XGS Press Kit 2020

I’m ready for preorder!

@TheGuardian1001
I’m completely agree with you ! The graphism is so poor of light effect and details.
I love Halo series since beginning but I not convinced by graphism on the other side gameplay looks pretty cool.

> I’m super excited for Halo Infinite and think it looks promising gameplay-wise. The lack of communication on the issues the community has as a whole is kinda disconcerting, as they made a pretty bad first impression (graphics-wise.) I hope the end-product is better than it looks. I think this could be the best halo in years if polished from what we saw.

It’s interesting to me that everyone’s having issues with the graphics. I think what I saw the graphics looked great and the landscape was amazing…
I’m super pshyced over what I saw and can’t wait

> 343 is a little too late for the peak of the open world hype

Think the main concept of open world for them is it allows them to have a battle royale venue now…
I love that it’s open world even though I’m not huge on battle royale but I like what I see.

I see so many people complaining about one thing or another… I were we watching the same gameplay? I saw gorgeous landscapes and a beautiful open style world so I dunno what people are complaining about graphically… The open world will allow them to have a battle royale venue so people can stop nagging them about that…
The feel of John alone stranded on a halo has a real halo 1 vibe to it so I have absolutely no clue what you guys complaining about not having a classic halo vibe are whining about other than the fact it’s not the originals… But for those people there’s good news, they have a master chief collection that let’s everyone play the old halos with the classic feels all they want…
And for you people complaining about sprint… Seriously? Oh hey chief the halo is about to blow, you better walk on out of here cause God forbid you run…
Do you guys have any programming knowledge? What I saw was amazing and the fact the XSX can run a open world that size all at 1nce in 4k blows my mind… Even 5 years ago we couldn’t do that.
@343 I know you guys take a lot of crap, and I know there’s no way to make everyone happy but I think you guys are doing a great job and cannot wait to play infinite. So freaking psyched. Worth buying the XSX just for your game. Thank you for your time and efforts all of you.

I WANT IT, i loved seeing brutes as ODST

After seeing the Halo Infinite gameplay footage, I am still looking forward to play the new Halo video game. I am very happy that Master Chief will be the main character again. I am also very happy that the Halo Reach Assault Rifle came back in the upcoming Halo Infinite.

There is no other gameplay to watch.

The grunts look like they have pastel colors on them and everything on the most powerful console looks duller than even Halo 3.

Who every said the story had to be open world to have a battle royale mode included. I am not inherently opposed to a BR mode being added, but based on what you are describing, they might do what Bungie did with the maps which screamed lazy and rehashed. (They made multiplayer maps and stitched them together to make the campaign out of them). On the flip side, I don’t see the problem with making maps for the story then letting us to whatever we want with them. (Some modders are doing it with Reach.)

My concern with an open world is they seem to want to copy Destiny (or MMORPG’s in general) by having a leveling up system and up-gradable stuff in a franchise that never had or needed it.

I do not know much about you HolyAvenger7347, but based on your response, I think you are a bit of a youngen who is new to the franchise (and having civil conversations).

The idea of needing to put your weapon down to go faster is stupid, especially considering Spartans are super soldiers with neural implants (and AI) who can assist with shooting. In the old Halo games you were always running when you push you thumbstick up all the way. To walk, just up it up part of the way. So simple no extra buttons or gameplay changes are needed.

I do have some Python and Java experience, but it is negligible in the grand scheme of things. You sound like you are reading a script for an infomercial. I don’t care what some corporate mouth-piece tells me, I want evidence it will preform up to par. Game developers can lie to your face and you could eat it up, but for how a game turns out, that will be revealed when the public can play it. Some of the worst offenders include No Man’s Sky, Aliens: Colonial Marines, and Anthem.

Are you being paid to say this, or are you un-ironically standing up to a faceless corporation that sees you as a wallet? Hell, as much of a mess as Bungie has been since teaming up with Activision, I gave them props years ago when DeeJ said they are a company and do not need white knights protecting their every action at every given moment. Every few people have a personal vendetta against 343i. Most people criticizing them want them to make a better product.

Lol
I knew I was asking for it but that was so fast lol
First of all no I’m not getting paid to say it I genuinely think they’re doing a good job
To whoever called me a younging, thanks that made me laugh. Remember the launch of snes so feel kinda old.
I ain’t a cooperate pos either whoever called me that, I code is all and I know how much calculus is involved in what they did.
I still don’t see the graphic issues and quite frankly feel like ya’ll need to attack someone
Go back to attacking 343 they get paid for it

The game looks incredible!! I can’t wait to get the new xbox and play it!!!

Glad I’m not the only one that liked the showcase…
I wrote mad props to 343 and the dang toxic side of the halo community attacked me…
I think infinite looks great and I’m super Psyched to play it.

From that 8mins we can see that the game literally looks like a cartoon game from 2k10. Not a $500m budgeted 2020 “Next Gen” game. The way the weapon looks and sounds is just so poor.
> >
> > Further, from those 8mins, as a result of sprint, that weird shield, and the Batman hook, we can kiss goodbye to the competitive community. No MLG circuits with this game. And I appreciate not everyone is in this game for the competitive aspect, and that’s cool, but I can’t see those players been excited from a demo like that.
> >
> > 343, Id love to know where you do your market research for this game. It was so obvious what the community wanted, literally staring you right in the face. There so many fan pages on across social media platforms and they’re all saying the same thing. How hard is it to listen to the community? Unless MP is the polar opposite of what we seen today, I fear it’s the final nail in the coffin, no way will we see the glory days of 07/08 with half a mil players on AT LEAST every night. And for those who are thinking I’m speaking nonsense cause “I’ve only seen 8mins” well, look at the state of the community already with this clip out. Not even played the game yet and we’re already split.
>
> A population that big is never going to happen for any game at that without it being free to play or cross platform. Let alone the competition Halo has now that Halo 3 didnt have then, I’m surprised so many people seem to forget what little 07/08 had to offer in online multiplayer games period back then when they quote the populations

I have to admit you make a great point. Yes, competition wasn’t quite the same, and these are key variables for the comparative periods. But, it’s clear that people are still playing MCC, particularly, Halo 3, it’s still popular 13 years on, so that’s saying something. I’m not sure of the actual numbers for MCC. The point I’m making here is age vs. player count + contending with the myriad of other games. And, I think quoting pop counts is quite important - but admittedly not quite a fair comparatives. A fair measure of comparison, I believe anyway, is the longevity of the game. Halo 4 is dead. Halo 5 wasn’t a great hit with the existing player base so time will tell about how long that will last.

That’s the exact problem, players who are well acquainted with the franchise have almost the opposite reaction. I won’t put my opinion here but one of my childhood friend who played Halo with me throughout the years was really disappointed by everything you deemed great.

So basically there won’t be a beta now?
Didn’t 343 essentially guarantee there’d be a public flighting?
The game looks great but this news is very disappointing.

> halo 5 was going in the right direction, modernizing gameplay while it still making it feel halo. halo infinite looks like a step backwards. the art direction looks too simple and people are noticing it too.

They’ll launch it broken and incomplete and fix it in the years to come. It’s the way to go nowadays. They even state it for all to see in the homepage post:

“In fact, in many ways, feedback and community flighting will be even more important after launch as we partner together to continually evolve and update the game into the future.”

To each there own I guess
I still have MCC and can get that nostalgic game play anytime I want, and I do love it, but that’s the whole purpose of MCC, to keep the old games and old feel alive.
I like new approaches and new games. When I wanna play the classics I still can they havnt gone anywhere
I just don’t get why everyone’s so mad that they didn’t get the same game with new graphics…

U sure you watched the right video?

That warthog had a cool sounding engine. Also, since this isn’t the final release, I wouldn’t be too harsh to judge it yet. Unless of course you already have:

  • One of those shiny new powerful nextgen XBoxes with the very high powered graphics + Super High HD monitors, so that you’ll see the fully enhanced version. - Actually played the game to get a real feel for the story and gameplay. Now a grappling hook? Now that will be interesting - It’s refreshing to see a difference and real storyline. Also, with all that power who knows how far you’ll be able to go now in the Ring world? Maybe it’s infinitely big now for those with the ultimate Xbox setup. Will there be spots of improvement? Of course. If you’re in IT as I am, then you full well know that all new releases will be updated and patched in future releases. That’s the nature of the beast. If this is a start, then it’ll be fantastic to see future improvements. Also, we’ve yet to see the improvements to multiplayer and it’s performance upgrades. So, I wouldn’t be so hasty to throw it under the bus. I’m not really a “Campaign” type of player but has been playing ever since the start back in 2001/2002. Yeah sure the graphics has great potential. Now the possibility of facing Brutes in a WZ FF should be a blast. But I ain’t judging anything because it doesn’t make a bit of difference. Why? like I stated above. Nothing is written in stone and at least this is a step in the right direction + You can never make everyone happy. You’ll always have those nitpickers. Why bother? What’s the point? Just don’t buy the game then. Why knock it? Love it and all it’s glorious perfection. Overlook any spots for now and get ready to Restart the fight in the new Multiplayer teams. New Armor? New Goals? Can’t wait to see them.

Halo Infanite looks worse than some Xbox 360 titles. What’s up with the texture pop-in? And why are we still using bump-mapping in 2020?? The grunt and brute character models look straight out of Halo 3.
