> You guys can’t be pleased can you. Do you honestly expect a game in 2020 to not have the option to sprint?

Maybe not sprint but grappling hook is a bit too much.

y digo que solo tienes que esperar para saber si mejora o empeora, pero de todos modos si empeora o mejora, lo jugaré

Exactly, that’s what video games are for training and enjoying

I liked that the sprint was again

> I love it, personally. I’m excited to play as the Master Chief again. The new guns look fun. I can go either way in terms of sprint; fine with it, fine without it.
>
> Why can’t we just enjoy what 343i are doing and be excited for a new Halo adventure with the Chief? At this point there’s something for everyone. If you don’t like what you see, then go play Halo 3 on the MCC. Or instead of flaming 343i, blame Bungie for abandoning Halo. Let’s just enjoy the ride and finish the fight.

I hate this attitude of “dispense with the criticism and get hyped”. Why is it that you think freedom of expression is such a cherished tradition in Western democracies? It’s because without the ability to give feedback there would be no reason for governments or producers of goods to improve or strive towards something better. If everyone was just excited for the game by default what reason would there be for 343 to even make a good game or improve on anything from the previous games? Such a simplistic world view.

Jesus, why are there so many people acting like 343 killed their firstborn? The trailer and gameplay were both awesome. Sprint seems to be a compromise between sprinters and anti-sprinters, with sprint still being around but at a much slower speed. The grappleshot was confirmed to be similar to equipment from Halo 3, so it’s not like it’s gonna be a core MP mechanic, and even then it looks like it’ll be super fun to mess around with. Ground pound is gone. We see a return to form with the art style for the Forerunner structures, as well as elites and some of the grunt variants. The campaign looks like it will be a blast. We are finally back to having a menacing alien force that can fight humanity and come up on top, it’s not a cop-out covenant remnants force (also return of the brutes!) The arsenal looks great with many new weapons -Yoink- well as returning ones (Mauler), and they are returning to the classic BR like everyone has wanted. There are some things that are slightly concerning, like the graphics overall being great but not next-gen tier like the PlayStation game reveals, and also being a little over saturated, but this isn’t the final build. I’m excited to see what MP and Forge look like.

In my opinion it doesn’t look like neither a next generation game nor AAA game.

Game looks great! I personally mis chiefs armor from halo 4 and 5, but that’s only a small detail. Graphics look fantastic, gameplay looks good. Hard to tell how the story will be, but excited to fight the banished!

Now trying to contain the hype until the game release.

Remove the damn hitmarkers from the game, they ruin the experience!

Bruh detail your game ffs it looks worse than og halo 2 models

5 years and they give us that? I am an OG Halo player and I have probably put 25,000+ hours into the Halo 1, Halo 2, Halo 3 games combined and let me just say that I am absolutely disheartened by what I saw in the trailer. Halo defined a generation and instead of getting the rolex and keeping clean and shiny, 343 just added a bunch of corny features and unnecesary bs to this game that was already so great. The Esports community in general is very disappointed and that is a community that keeps these games alive for years after the majority stops playing. Hope they surprise us with multiplayer…but with sprint, grappling hooks, and all the other "new and improved’ features, most of us probably will not be playing much Titanfall: Infinite this holiday season.

There was an fps that released in March of this year that didn’t have sprint. You may not have heard of it. It wasn’t a big deal, kinda slipped under the radar … I’m assuming because it didn’t have sprint. I believe it was called Doom Eternal, if I remember correctly.

Oh yeah it’s so cool, I was waiting for this.

343i is gonna be disbanded if this title fails lmao. How can you devs not do basic stuff like actually detailed elite models. Even early bungie did a great job with their early graphics of elites.

Me encanto el arte de la Caja de Halo Infinite ya que me recordo a los tiempos de Halo 3 ya que es mi favorito hasta el momento

> Welp, guess its official, the Xbox one definitely held back this game. The open-world felt lifeless, quiet and slow. The gameplay felt stale, the ai acted like they always have, no innovation. The animations on ships simply flying through the air looked so bad it was insane. They just floated around, no impact on the environment, no trees being pushed around by the jets, nothing. The story feels more fleshed out and Chief looks awesome but where are the classic weapons? The new ones look cool but how is 8 minutes of sub-par gameplay supposed to get us hyped? I don’t understand what just happened or why. How did they look at this and think it was okay to show to the world as the opening reveal?
>
> Graphically it looked awful, it looks worse than Halo 5, the textures on the AR (the weapon front and center at the beginning) look plastic. No dirt, no scratches or details on it. Just one smooth opaque texture. The banished face at the end of the reveal looked like something from the Xbox 360 days. How is this the next step forward in innovation? How is this a massive leap into the future? Sprint is back, thruster looks like it is back. Grapple hook looks cool but doesn’t fit the style of a spartan in the slightest amount. No tease of multiplayer, no announcement of a demo or beta we can play. That was just so lackluster. I thought they were going to come out swinging with some massive reveal where they hit all of the notes and give us everything. But nah, the facial animations on the opening cutscene don’t even look Xbox one standard let alone Series X. What happened?
>
> Just stick to a trailer next time. If that is supposed to be the highlight and the part they want to show off then I’m very very concerned.
>
> Edit: Game just doesn’t even look or feel like Halo. People in the chat were saying it looked too slow and they are right. Even with a grapple hook, sprint and a thrust mechanic combat still looked slower than Halo 2, 3 and Reach.

You are right!! I have been a fan since I was six years old. But these last games 343 gave us, where -Yoink-. And this one looks like a low quality 360 game. I fear halo is dead in the water. Rip Halo, thanks to 343. I miss Bungie

You made the same gameplay from beloved Halo 5.Hitmarkers that hurt my eyes, stupid yelling enemies, cartoony graphics, dumb AI.And it seems you retconed the previous game story,AGAIN

I’ve seen people taking two distinct sides about their opinions for Halo Infinite:

On one side you have players who are fully on board the hype train and see infinite as a faithful recreation of the old Halo titles (with new tweaks obviously).

On the other side players argue this showcase of Halo Infinite’s gameplay is lacking and undoubtedly disappointing.

The “debate” between the two sides seems to be focused on art designs, gunplay, environmental elements and even character dialogues. These are crucial components to the success of Halo and I fear this divide in the community means more trouble than what it seems. In the following months 343 needs to be really careful viewing the criticisms. This time we may not be able to afford another Halo 4/5 situation.

As for my opinion for the gameplay showcase, from what I saw more polish is needed. Muddy textures, “cartoony” design and uninspiring gameplay really distinguished my hype, Halo should be unique and clearly defined, instead this gameplay demo makes Halo Infinite seem like a testing ground for all kinds of ideas. Luckily this is a demo, and from what we have seen from 343 recently, I assume players will get a gameplay demo and contribute in making Halo Infinite the redemption of modern Halo games.

No blood spilling at all on environments which tells me 343i is aiming for a T rating again, pop in, bad lighting, bad textures, and even bad shield popping effects. The presentation is rough but it seems the sandbox and story telling is there. Everything just looks to clean lighting doesn’t affect any models outside of the environment. Now looking at these high res screen shots the textures look worse and a lot of the models look so low on LOD in the environment. AI seem pretty dumb. Also I will say this again add blood and gore back into Halo. Blood just makes the combat feel more satisfying and impactful.
