to be the first Xbox series X Limited addition Console that the public can buy I do believe that there should’ve been a little extra incentive as well.

No. Xbox Series X consoles are already in extremely limited supply. Don’t incentivize the scalpers more. If you managed to get a console or a controller from the Microsoft website, you should probably play the lottery tonight as you’re extremely lucky.

While you guys made some great points, I dont think that just because there are scalpers out there, that we need not to do something special for the ones who got it legit. The missing out of Halo Infinite on Launch of the Xbox Series X, was a good thing aswell as making more time to work on the game further on the new hardware!

I do. Why reward people who are already rewarded? No need to double down on it.
I think it may be odd to include DLC with this version of the series X. A good amount of people that bought it already will be upset they will lose out for getting one too early.

Except most people didn’t get one legit, because they were all stolen first. Giving extra stuff out with them will do absolutely nothing but make people give into the thieving scalpers to get the “special item”. Sorry, but in this current climate it’s just a bad idea. Honestly, the console was a bad idea to begin with, given the shortages and most people can’t even get a Series X normally.

I very luckily managed to pre-order one and honestly im really happy for it. Last year is had the attitude of nope cant afford it and i wont get halo because the same reason. This year though i was lucky and managed to get some money and my wife made the argument that i never treat myself so why not get it. I spent months trying to get one and with this new halo limited edtion im happy it worked out for me. Im sure you would get a good few campaign exclusive pieces of customizations and i hope 343 work in some halowaypoint terminals, secret codes to unlock amours like they did before with halo 4 i think

Yea but i just think that collector’s editions should include a exclusive dlc tied with it, this is going as far back from Halo Reach Legendary Edition (Fire Flames on Head), that they never released them on the Xbox 360 Marketplace, Only thing that officially released was the (Blue Flames) Bungie Employee for the last Bungie day in Halo History, until 343 took over and flipped a switch one last time for everyone at that time.

Yeah, but we were talking about consoles, not collector’s or legendary or limited editions which are all bound to have some type of DLC. I believe the Reach console came with no DLC, just a themed console. same with the Halo 3 console. There may have been some sort of skins that came with the Halo 4 console, and we all know what came with the Halo 5 console.

I mean being able to scalp it for 5x the price seems like pretty good incentive to me.

Dec 2020 - present day 2021 - xbox series x stock still scarce (very limited stock).
15 Nov 2021 - Halo infinite limited edition xbox series x will be delivered.
08 Dec 2021 - Halo infinite campaign/mp will officially be released.
No reward for those who bought xbox series x on launch and continued playing old games that till today are running on gen 8 consoles. If I am correct there are only 16 titles to date that are enhanced for xbox series x/s. Is this fair? Short answer is ‘no’ but we are still happy because we are getting halo infinite, this is a true definition of a Halo fan and halo community member. Microsoft and 343i need to recognise this for sure. Not to mention once you those who managed to pre order the halo infinite limited edition xbox series x they will patiently have to wait just under 4 weeks to play halo infinite. Still very gassed about halo infinite!!!

I seriously dont see how people are struggling to get a series x, i got my first one by just going on the uk game website clicked a bundle and bought it.
Ive just managed to get myself a series x halo infinite (sold my series x at a decent cheap price aswell) and then just went to in store and ordered another halo edition console for a family member.
So i definitely agree, as wirh every other limited edition console you should get a dlc exclusive code

Ok i was making a comparison first off, and did the Fotus Armor for Halo 4 from the Limited Edition Console EVER GET A FULL PUBLIC RELEASE? I think NOT it was just as “Private” like the Halo Reach Legendary Edition… So I dont get your point that your trying to make here?
I find it kind of weird there no cosmetic dlc with the Halo Xbox Series X when the controller comes with something haha. A coating with the console design would be kinda cool.
