you say balance when infinite is completely favoring the unsc weapons what are you on about? Halo infinite has poor weapon balancing compared to halo 5 and even Halo MCC does a better job than infinite. Also funny how you mention req packs yet you don’t see how paying for armor with actual money is far worse than grinding for req packs.
This is rich.
Name one Halo mainline title that favors non-UNSC weapons in MP combat.
That’s right, there’s none.
Every Halo mainline title’s MP revolved around the Precision weapon meta since the beginning, which happens to be UNSC weapons. Covenant/non-UNSC weapons were usually delegated to either Power weapons or Utility weapons.
Even the Needle Rifle in Reach being a Precision weapon is WEAKER than the DMR in the same game.
Promethean weapons were straight up busted in H4, but that’s hardly a sound arguement because the balance in that game was a little wack, combined with custom loadouts.
The difference in Infinite is that we are taking a step back to H3 levels of sandbox where you can pluck a weapon off the ground and it can literally be anything and if you have the skill with it, you can beat someone who’s just spraying you with AR. Try doing that in H4 or even H5.
This game dumps all over Halo 4 and 5 combined. It’s an Infinitely way better Halo game (pun intended). I agree with some aspects though, progression and armour unlocks are still a big issue with multiplayer, BUT, the campaign is great. Great gameplay, story, music and it looks really good too. Gotta give props where its due.
This type of gameplay and look, if this was 343s first attempt things would be so different. I’m just glad they got it right eventually.
Even with all its issues Halo Infinite is leagues better than that creamy turd H5 was
Really disagree and think this dumps in h4/h5 (single and multiplayer).
Also HARD disagree on the repulsor being limited, there are so many uses for.
The obvious repulse uses (push enemy off map, push enemy into object, push object into enemy, return to sender for grenades and other explosives, push batteries in stock pile, I believe you can still push the flag with it)
It has movement uses (super jump, double jump)
It has evasion uses (easier on mnk but you can 180 and repulse, then 180 back to get away faster or to a place faster)
It has denial uses (push people out of strongholds, push back sword and gravity hammer players).
It has situational uses (like repulsing enemies into a cluster for a bigger rocket multikill, repulse away an oddball if you are going to die but can’t play ball and want the enemy to burn time or to have to expose themselves more to grab the ball).
Really just a ton of use cases for it.
What do you mean by that?
The abilities feel weak and some of them are completely useless for example the repulser
In the last game I played, I got a kill be repulsing a guy off the map, and when a guy tried the mangler one shot+melee trick I repulsed him and BR’d him to death.
Maybe you’re just bad?
Totally disagree. I think it’s the best game in the whole franchise tbh. Way better than the old games.
I just cant agree with alot you said, some may be based on your opinion wicch i will not be able to change, it is your opinion after all but I still want to respond to your points.
Aim assist and Gameplay make it worse than 5
Well gameplay wise I would get it if you just like the movement system of 5. However, looking at gunplay, map design and core gameplay i have to say 5 cant compete with Infinite. In 5 were so many weapons doing the same thing, where is the point in them if they play the same. Zooming in in 5 changed the way bullets behaved and made bullet magnetism stronger, just like every projectile being speed up to keep up with the gameplay (if not turned into hitscan anyway) this in cooperation with advanced movement lead to Halo 5 being a pretty generic run down, solo shooter fest. The hole game was adjusted to keep up with the speed and abilitys wich lead to problems like giant maps with a long run time to find encounters, you beeing out of battle because you are waiting for youre shield to reload wich isnt going to happen while sprinting. The fast paste game punishes you to wait and play slow in a game that made you fast. It was just contradictory.
Like every weapon, every ability has its uses in the right situation, it is on you to use them to get the edgy. If you say the repulsor, one of the best equipments in Infinite is bad, then thats not on the game thats, im sorry to say thats on the user. Now to give some perspective, In halo 5 you had the thruster, charge, groundpound and hover, 4 abillitys at all time that never change. In Infinite you can have: repulsor, scanner, thruster, drop wall, and the grapple shot, 5 abillitys. I skipped cloak and overshield since both games have these. Halo Infinite has one more ability wich you or the enemy COULD have, this propability is something you have to account for, something that gives you the edge or something you have to keep in mind that the enemy uses. This leads to alot of diffrent encounter situations that force you the react or adapt fast. It keeps gameplay fresh and interesting
well in my opnion, some might disagree with me.
About aim assist, i dont know what to say, pc some say m+kb is too weak and controller to strong, I had no problems. Maybe it needs tweaking maybe its on the player, I dont know but from my standpoint i disagree with you.
TTK seems “almost” across the board fair. Yes the AR is strong, but atleast it is viable for once, and it still gets outshined but other weopons (yes even the ones you stated) if used in their preferd distance or used correctly
allright abot the monetisation. We all agre it cant stay the way it is now, it is overpriced and we should earn some kind of currency.
HOWEVER
I would choose Halo Infinits system without thinking twice. Atleast I can choose what i want to buy with my money, Those Lootbox style req packs werent a guarantee for the most part, you coul dumb 5 dollars and get what you want… or hundreads and get nothing. Not to mention the weapon variants that were consumable powerweapons that you lost after useage. could you earn req packs and get armour? Well yes. How often did you get what you wanted, how long did it take, how much money did you waste befor getting it?
Lootboxes will alway be the least consumerfriendly microtransaction there is (as of now).
I also dont get the Destiny comparison, maybe at the bossfights (even tho you didnt meant them). However the Grind is not even close as bad, You only get and need to get cosmetics. For the other it doesnt feel that slow to me, I finished every weekly at this point and am around lvl 35. This might sound slow however when I think about the Timeframe we have, it sounds kind of natural, It would have been pointles to finish the pass week one and then cry at 343 for what? 3 Months till the next one drops?
They have to change alot about customisation and monitisation, we all agree on that, It should have been better than this. However I feel like 343 is getting more bad critisism than it needed to be.
TBH I feel like people are mostly trolling and trying to make the game look worse than it is
However with things are going right now i think this is going to turn for the better!
I do do that in Halo 4 and 5, it’s called Fiesta. I have 100’s of hours of Fiesta in 4 alone, H5 I probably have thousands.
