I seriously doubt the Series X can run Halo MP at 4k 120fps…unless the maps are optimized as -Yoink- and resemble the bland forge world Halo Reach maps (which I don’t think anyone wants, no matter the framerate).
If the goal is still a solid 60fps on Xbox One multiplayer it should be able 4K120 dynamic because I sincerely doubt they are going to push the multiplayer settings near the extent that they will for the campaign. You’re looking at it as a next gen multiplayer game rather than a last gen multiplayer game and it definitely falls into the latter category based on what we know, which is fine.

the bigger issue of crossplay isn’t 60 v 120, it’s if they mix controller with kbm servers and FOV. FPS takes a backseat to both of those potential advantages.

As a launch title COD Black Ops Cold War is launching at 4K120 and that game visually blows the Infinite demo out of the water. Both games will run with dynamic resolution scalers and shouldn’t have issues running what is essentially an Xbox One game mostly at peak resolution and peak framerate. And even if they run at mostly 1800p… Oh well. That’s practically 4K anyway.

It didn’t make sense how the Xbox one to the S/X to the pc would play on multiplayer if all were operating at different levels. To me whomever had the better hardware/connection would probably have the better experience. Idk if this even applies or not as stated, I am a novice when it comes to this topic. In to learn more!
Consider that practically every PC is operating at different levels in different aspects at all times so adding 4 console SKUs on top of that isn’t going to rock the boat compared to the vast array of machines out now. Naturally, the beefiest hardware will end up with a better experience but the differences should be marginal. Halo is a relatively short range, colorful game to the extent that the differences shouldn’t be that detrimental to the multiplayer balance. You will have a better experience on the better hardware, but they should still be pretty comparable. Basically, don’t worry about that aspect unless something changes (which we won’t know til a multiplayer demo/beta).

That’s more or less the design philosophy behind the console, that’s why it more or less runs the same chip in it on the CPU side and the biggest cutbacks are on the GPU and RAM side of things (and you shouldn’t need as much RAM if you are using lower fidelity art assets), so it should stand to reason Halo will follow this design approach as well.
