Halo Infinite will have req system (hopefully not)

Honestly, I think something that affected the Halo game a lot today, were the req packs or the microtransaction system, because it is very organized.
Pay $ 4.99 for simple trinkets, I do not think it’s right, I prefer to spend that money on a suit of armor or a skin.
Not only speak for me, but for people or Youtubers who were in “disagreement” for the new req system, and this message is not to say the bad of the req packs, if not the contrary, this new title of Halo is said that a classic form of game will be taken, then remove the microtamsactions and put a simpler system like for example, the purchase of armors.
That would give a touch more Halo, not instead of spending 10000 points in simple weapons or in a suit (seeker) would prefer to spend that 4.99 dollars in my case $ 50 Mexican pesos in a suit of armor or a skin for the weapon.
This is the only problem that I see in Halo 5 and that could be taken as stupid people who say (awaww Halo died in reach) bone not.
They want Halo to be classic, delete the microtransactions.
With love, a small group of old and new Halo players. <3

The whole REQ system needs to go, I’m literally had enough of them.
I hate opening up those awful loot box’s, I’m straight up sick of having to open them up instead of earning them the proper way.
Micro-transactions as a whole needs to go, should never return. I should be able to replay these games in 10 years and still be able to play those games without spending 1000+s of hours trying to unlock everything but the way H5 was doing things was straight up ridiculous. Loot box’s is the reason I lost interest in Gears 4, why Horde is unplayable and is part of the reason why I have zero interest in playing games like Overwatch, it’s straight up annoying how much of a grind these type of systems force on us. I’m sure I’ve said this before in other threads but if they continue to force them in…then I’m sure many will trust 343i less, with the gambling laws lately it might not be the best move for 343i to do in case more country’s make loot box’s illegal.

What Warzone should have been from the start is AAA maps with BTB but with a Odst style Firefight, no pay to win features because that essentially made Warzone, WZ-Firefight more of a grind, not challenging.

I share yours thoughts 100% (especially the second bold statement, man I would have killed for that and Halo 5…) and though I don’t know enough about gears 4, Overwatch is purely cosmetic stuff. I’m not saying I like that I’m just saying there is absolutely no pay to win in OverWatch. I honestly don’t care about it at all. I Still rock a lot of the characters original skins because I don’t care. hack a few the people that I play OverWatch with have never even opened the loop box and they have hundreds of them lol I definitely wouldn’t let microtransactions stop you from playing OverWatch because you can spend zero money on the system.

I guess this is true in Halo 5 as well to a degree but if you play warzone you have to open loot boxes.

I’m mostly tired when people defend this by saying it’s “only cosmetics”…I don’t want to have to spend 100+ hours trying to unlock 1 piece of armour, I just want to earn them by unlocks, like I said I’m straight up sick of opening them to ‘unlock’ something, I could tolerate them a bit more if I could have this auto-collected but instead I’m forced to waste a good 30+ minutes, even an hour in H5 unlocking packs to be able to use them, it’s just ridiculous and I have little interest in any new IP’s that expect me to keep doing this when I’m already sick of going through this in games I’m supposed to enjoy, is part of the reason why I avoid most new IP’s that put them in because I’m sick of them.

It’s like I enjoy Halo, Gears but I mostly tolerate them in H5 but it made Gears 4 one of the most toxic community’s since it changed how players treated gamers in modes like Horde due to the class system being directly changed to cater to the loot box system while other games like STO loot box I dislike but I sort of accept it in a way because that games is free to play while games like Halo, Gears I pay full price, have been willingly to pay for dlc and yet they force these loot box’s.

I liked the Infinite trailer but if 343i even confirms there return for Infinite then I will be worried about Infinite because I despise the whole loot box system, nothing good has ever come from them.

The entire community wants these removed, but unfortunately 343 recently hired a new microtransaction designer. So I guess all the posts and and community surveys filled out were for nothing. I really hope 343 can turn themselves around with infinity. I have my reservations tho.

I hear what your saying, but if it doesn’t affect gameplay, I don’t care as much. You sound like the kind of person who cares how you look in the game so I can see why it would bug you. Personally I don’t really care for the most part. sure I like to change things in whatever but if it’s going to cost me money or do stupid things in the game I’m not wasting my time or money.

I’m not defending them either by saying it’s just cosmetic stuff. I’m merely saying in case you didn’t know. I didn’t play OverWatch for a long time because of microtransactions but when I found it it was just cosmetic and didn’t affect gameplay in any way then I didn’t care. as I said you don’t have to open any of the loot boxes to enjoy the game.

Sure in my perfect world microtransactions wouldn’t exist and everything would be unlocked by doing things in game like it used to. I started before 8-bit days so I understand all about earnings stuff by playing and what not in video games but microtransactions at least some form of them, are here to stay unfortunately and if it’s just cosmetic then I won’t let that prevent me from enjoying some game anymore. Yes I still hate microtransactions, but companies know how much money they make from the game and from microtransactions and if everyone would just stop buying microtransactions then companies would do something different.

Anyways trust me when I say I’m on your side bro

I’m pretty sure Halo is going to go either the OverWatch or fortnite or something like this route when it comes too microtransactions. I think it’s going to be something like “heres all the stuff, you can either earn it in game with in-game currency or by spending X dollars and buy it right away” or something like this. People have shown that they’re willing to spend money on cosmetic stuff in game and people have really shown that they are okay with that as long as they can also be obtained with in-game currency. That’s the system I think that will be in Halo 6 not the system I want.

Earn in game or use currency… That’s what we have now.

Even if its just cosmetic, that still means say goodbye to earning that sweet armor. That’s just not ok to me.

Any unlockable should be achieved through playing the game, not through paying with real money. It’s as simple as that.

Regarding the armour, it should be first unlocked by performing a specific task in-game assigned to unlocking that armour and then equipped by use of in-game credits earned through playing the campaign and/or multiplayer. (This is a combination of both the Halo 3 and Halo: Reach methods.)

Many companies seem to be back tracking with loot boxes. SWBF2 changed them, Mordor Shadow of War removed them this month, Anthem and the new Battlefield won’t have them either. I wanted Microsoft to act too.

Well, it’s just been announced that prize crates are getting removed from Forza 7, also Forza Horizon 4 will not have paid tokens either. I will be very happy if Halo and Gears follow suit.

There may be hope yet OP.

The thing is I care how my character looks to a degree except I tend to keep it to the classic armour but that usually involves a grind to even unlock.
I’d rather do something fun to earn it like the Vidmaster challenge’s from classic Halo games so for me it’s not about which armour get’s unlocked but the social aspect too, not like the awful grind that the loot box’s seem to force on us, the awful grind that most are expected to do for the Achiles armour in H5.

I get what you’re saying about not unlocking things but the thing is if I want to unlock anything then I’m forced to open them, I’m sick of having to open them up because it get’s tedious, makes the game worse in more ways than just game-play. Take H5 for example I’m unlocked everything now and yet the only way I would have done thing is by opening up 1000’s of them, this has straight up made me hate the idea of them in any/all games since it locks anything worthwhile beyond them, is directly to blame for why we have no custom emblem creator, is directly to blame for why the UI is a clustered mess.

Yeh I get what you’re saying about not letting them not effect me from enjoying my games but sadly that has, it’s completely put me off some games just because they exist, in some cases I refuse to go near new games just because they exist while not giving some games any chances just because I’m sick of seeing loot box’s.

No more lootboxes, not even “cosmetic only” ones. They are all terrible and the only reason 343 hasn’t gotten more flak for them is because Halo has lost so much of its presence in the greater gaming space.
