The (+) means if Infinite launches after September, then it will be available at that point in time on the X-Cloud platform. (Edit 1)
Take a second to think about the implications of the X- cloud game streaming service officially launching in September.
Halo Infinite will be playable on the Xbox family, PC, Phones, and Tablets. It will be accessible literally anywhere you have a device and a stable connection (mobile data use fees worth noting).
If Infinite can come close to the quality of game play that the original trilogy (and to some extents, H5) provided, I could see its accessibility putting its player base and revenue back into the top tier of games. Which means only great things for us Halo fans as a whole.
I think this is Phil, 343, and Xbox as a whole throwing everything they have into the rink against Sony to even up the market share. I think we’re going to witness a revolution of how and where gamers play games, and I think Xbox is trying to be the first ones to the party.
Are you excited about getting able to play infinite anywhere?
Call me crazy, but I think the earliest we will get Infinite will be November.
I am excited to play it anywhere. For me, it’ll just be PC or xbox for sure.
I am not sure how people handle playing games like halo on their phones - and unfortunately I still have a smart phone where I can’t connect it to a monitor via blue tooth or cable. Supposedly I have good vision still and yet I could only play 2-3 matches max of halo 5 before my eyes were basically dying. The changes in scaling are hard to deal with, definitely lowered me a few divisions in terms of performance too whether due to network latency or just adjusting to a different screen.

That’s what the (+) in the title is for
. In the case Infinite launches after X- Cloud, then it would just be available on the platform at that date.

I personally can see myself playing it through my tablet a lot. We’re a 1 console/ 1TV family by choice. I also gave up PC gaming a long time ago when it was obvious consoles had the advantage in terms of cheat detection, so our XB1X is what we’ve got.
When my wife and son are watching something on the TV that I’m not sorry interested in, x-cloud opens up the ability for me to still play Infinite if I want
Or now I can play it while my son plays Minecraft on our TV!
I’m very excited for it

Ahh I see now. I was a little thrown off by that.
The most likely time we’re getting the game is in November. The game and and Series X are launch in the Holiday season, and Holiday is November and December. Traditionally and historically, Xbox console launches are in November, usually either mid to late November. So yeah, don’t expect it until November.
Very exciting times ahead.
I think Xbox is playing it right with game streaming. It should be a supplement to their main platform and not a whole platform on its own.
This could potentially make the switch obsolete as now you can buy an Xbox game and play it on anything on the go. No need to buy a particular device that is tailored for on-the-go gaming.
