Halo Infinite weapon designs

How do you guys feel about the new design for some of the weapons during the demo?

I really loved most of the designs especially the shotgun that’s finally drum fed, and the commando which reminds me of a scar H for some odd reason. I was mixed on the ravager the one brute three burst plasma gun picked up from the captain while it has a cool gameplay design the gun looks to much like a rectangular block but it could be since it’s a banished weapon.

Yeah I wonder if the that shotgun is not the only shotgun for the UNSC weapons like I wonder if there are like two different shotguns or maybe more and for the brute ravager was really big I wonder if they will scale the size a bit because it just looks a mega block. I’m also really excited to see more new weapons as well as old weapons. So far i have mixed emotions about the Weapons.

Yeah I hope they have variants of old and new, like the old shotgun having more power but less ammo than the new shotgun. I’m really excited for the new sandbox too. I’m just hoping they don’t ditch the old stuff altogether.

Weapon designs look good.

I like the new weapons. I’m excited to see what other weapons we’ll have in Infinite.

-Energy Sword: Nice
-Battle Rifle: Nice
-Assault Rifle: Poor visual design so far, hard to tell any more
-Sidekick: Pointless, we already expressed we wan’t the classic magnum and there is no point to have more than 1 pistle that functions so closely.
-Commando: Pointless, gives nothing interesting to the table and looks ugly and generic like it bellongs in cod. Saw looked better visually.
-Ravager: Interesting, nice unique shape, seems to be a kind of power weapon? Suits Brutes. Concussion burst?
-Pulse Carbine: Pointless and boring, does nothing that other weapons don’t. Carbine rifle was already perfect in h2 and it seems to be a replacement for the Storm Rifle, but why? just give us a Plasma Rifle
-Mangler: Boring and pointless. It’s just another pistle that is like a close range magnum, would have been a better move to make it a Mauler and let us duel wield and remove the new UNSC shotgun.
-Bulldog: Meh we would all rather see the classic shotgun, pointless to put another new one in there it’s just a 2 hand Mauler, and just literally a worse version of the Shotgun… why?..
-Grappleshot: Don’t get me started…

I think they look a little too close to Destiny, and even Doom a little bit.

They look good, I’m excited to see what type of Banished Weapons we get over all!

Everything excluding the Ravager and the classic guns I saw the covenant used felt…generic.
I hope classic weapons return as rare, epic or legendary drops in the campaign so we appreciate how SOLID they’ve always been.

I loved them, I think the new UNSC rifle looks awesome, im split on the pistol but as long as it doesnt replace the m6d im more than happy, same goes with the bulldog, the banished weapons also look amazing, so does the pulse carbine. Excited to finally see a burst covenant weapon but I am a bit dissapointed they went with the halo 5 plasma pistol design instead of the halo 4, reach, or halo 3 plasma pistol design. Im just really glad were getting the OG battle rifle and energy sword back along with the reach assault rifle!

I’m satisfied with the old and new weapon designs i saw. Of course, i’d like to see more of the old ones brought back.

I’m hoping the Sidekick didn’t replace the Magnum, and could see both of them having their place in the sandbox. Likewise, i worry that the other new weapons we saw in the demo will replace other fan-favourites.

I’m also curious if the weapon sound design is finalized. I didn’t hate anything, but i’d like the kinetic UNSC weapons to have more of a crack with each shot. The AR seemed low/rumbly which sounds more like a paintball gun IMO.

I was upset by seeing the bloom mechanic existing on precision weapons. I very much hope they revise their weapon designs to address this problem.

I hope the full sandbox will be projectile-based instead of some weapons being hit-scan. I didn’t think I’d be saying that, but it’s honestly one of the best ways to curb weapon effectiveness at various ranges in order to create a better sandbox balance without injecting something like random bullet trajectories.

I also hope that all weapons within the sandbox will feature a smart-link “zoom” capability. I really wish we would have seen more of that mechanic throughout the gameplay demo.

I wasn’t a fan of the AR’s apparent functional design. I was hoping they’d continue using the post-tuned H5AR’s design of a smaller reticle size and impactful headshot capabilities.

I can’t believe peoples loving weapon designs.
Assault rifle? Going back to halo reach design?

You guys are loosing specialties of futuristic weapon designs. I can’t understand peoples are saying these are looking good. While i watched demo video, dipressed so bad

The Bulldog shotgun kinda shows how modern game developers think the audiance sucks and has to simplify games for the modern gamer. The Bulldog. Makes it so the player can reload all 10 rounds really fast in one go on a power weapon that is potentially 10 kills in campaign or MP ready to go at the click of one button and a short reload. I’m not against this completely it is a game set in the future. However the original shotty balanced skill and timing for better intensity in gameplay. Reloading one shell at a time while being charged down by the flood created intense moments helping to create Halo’s atmosphere. A lot of the time you barely could load one or two shells while backpeddling just in time to the kill. Now, imagine fighting the flood with the single reload of the Bulldog. I think it would make Legendary feel like Easy.

The Drop Wall is similar an insult to gamers. It dumbs down the gameplay. I can shoot you but you can’t shoot me, is there a more powerful message from the developers that they really just want to cater to noobs. I’m letting everyone know now if you pick this up and use it I’m gonna lay down some trash talk. I also give you all permission to trash the crap out of me if I ever touch one of these Noob Sheilds.

As long as the sidekick is like the gunslinger pistol variant and/or the regular magum/ ODST silenced pistol are there as well I am fine with it.

The Commando is a reskin of the Titanfall R101C Carbine. If they change the design to the UNSC signature style I’d be fine with it.

Ravager and the Pulse plasma thing were ok, not great. But I heard bladed brute weapons do extra melee damage that sounds good.

The Grapple, I intantly hated until I thought about using it to skyjack Banshee hogs.

I would rather see the old school shotty, the bubble sheild, magnum, bullpup UNSC weapons, spiker, brute shot and og plasma rifle. The grapple is growing on me but I’d rather see it in a new ODST game.

really liked how they brang back the mauler

I would like to see futuristic weapons and new vehicles

The new weapons look generic and seem to have no utility in the sandbox other than “kills enemies within similar time windows” the bulldog is a crappy triple AAA shotgun for players who can’t manage their reload, the commando just looks lame ( WOW it’s a DMR but it fires faster woohoo ) and the pulse carbine is complete heresy since it looks to replace the carbine.
