Hey fellas! Now that Infinite is a year away from release, what changes to the weapon sandbox would you like to see in Infinite? What guns derserve to be nerfed or buffed? I made a personal list of what should be buffed or nerfed. Although this list only consists of a few UNSC weapons and not Covenant or Forerunner weapons.
General changes:
Majority of the weapons have reduce aim-assist and bullet magnetism now requiring better aim. This also remove absurd kills such as the Magnum and Sniper Rifle being able to finish off opponents when the reticle is completely off the player.
All Autos including the Shotties, Plasma Pistol, Magnum and Boltshot can no longer smart-scope drastically reducing their overall effective range. However, this makes them suit their role better rather than makin’ them long range weapons. (The SMG is excluded from this considering it has a scope allowing players to still smart scope)
All projectile weapons, such as the BR and Carbine no longer gets an accuracy boost while smart scoped thus removing true ADS.
Assault Rifle:
• Remove the ability to smartscope
• Decrease mag capacity from 36 to 30
• Decrease bullet dmg (kills in 18 bullets)
• Remain the ability to deal bonus headshot dmg
• Minimal increase to outer reticle size
• Minimal decrease in recoil shake
Battle Rifle:
• Increase RoF to closely match vanilla H4/5
• Slightly increase hipfire and smart scope RRR
• Slightly decrease bullet dmg (the BR is still a 4 shot kill, but will now become a true 4 shot kill now taking 12 bullets instead of 11)
• Minimal decrease in recoil
Magnum:
• Removed the ability to smart scope
Shotgun:
• Removed the ability to smartscope
Sniper Rifle:
• The second zoom is reduced from 9x to 8x
SMG:
• Minimal decrease in recoil shake
SAW:
• Removed the ability to smart scope
