MCC has so much going for it, challenges that not only include PVP, but PVE, the seasonal unlocks, viewing challenges from the in game menu, cross-platform options, game selection options, etc. I just don’t understand how you can do so right with a game, then come out with another game and do so wrong. I feel that these are basic wants from the community that also succeeded previously, so why even change it up? I just don’t understand.
People will argue that MCC took years for those things to be implemented.
But then again, Infinite has been in development for years and barely works as it is - we can only wait.
Before MCC released it was in developement for years. See I can do it too!
They needed a new face for Halo apparently.
I’ve made the same arguments about Halo 5 and how it’s already complete with features that a lot of us already want like custom games browser but ofcourse this is met with. “But it’s free”.
It’s not like we got new modes or anything new other than a open world campagain and some new weapons. To consider Halo infinite an upgrade would be a serious stretch
They really should have learnt form their mistakes with 4, 5 and MCC, but it’s like they always go back to basics and build what we want after launch.
As of this date I have been going back to Halo MCC because WHY? …BECAUSE …“IT WORKS!!”
I honestly don’t understand the hype around MCC’s challenge system. I’ve never found it particularly inviting, in fact it just feels like a slog to navigate through,
Literally same here lol. I find myself going into MCC just to finish the weekly 20th Anniversary Challenge if anything.
What I like with the system is that you can do PVP and PVE. You aren’t forced to do PVP only to progress and get points to spend. I think if they allowed PVE challenges, and of course once they implement the ability to play campaign missions over, it’ll be easier (obviously) to progress through this battle pass. I would be more inclined to go back to the campaign and kill X amount of grunts, brutes, elites, etc. I mean of course if you pop a double XP on Tuesday and knock out a handful of challenges you’ll rank up quick but that’s if you’re willing to spend the money, which is back to the argument of “free to play” lol. It’s a never ending cycle.
Absolutely I agree. I just don’t understand how you have all the right answers and formulas but then you go back to the sketch book
?
It took the MCC team 1/3 of Infinites total development time to get to the point where we are at today.
2 years of MCC improvements to 6 years leading up to Infinite’s disappointment.
That’s possibly the best reason to go back to MCC, because it works, it knows how to let players have freedom.
The MCC challenges are simple and straight forward. They take about 4 to 6 hours a week, are they perfect? No but they don’t require hours upon hours of grinding each week. For Infinite the challenges take twice as long or longer to complete than the MCC deck. But unlike infinite everyone’s deck is the same so you can progress through your challenges together.
MCC also has a better seasonal rank and seasonal content systems. After you buy all content you can continue to progress. In infinite once you complete the pass that’s it … infinite needs to do better.
