I think he’s referring to design of the visor itself, like no hexagonal patterns, no lines or anything.

If that’s the case, I would have to disagree. The difference between the smooth visor in halo CE and Halo 2 is outstanding. You have an astronaut visor vs a visor with a face-like pattern with gives the armour more character.
I prefer the pattern to the visor, it makes it feel like it’s more than just a plate of crystal material. After all, we’re not talking about a Biker helmet here, we’re talking about advanced technology. The pattern makes it seem like it does more than just protect ones face.
I don’t like halo 5 visors, they remind me of beehives.

Are you comparing smooth to H4/5’s hex pattern visors? If so then I agree. I really liked how Chief’s visor looked in the 2019 trailer, but his visor was too smooth a shiny in the 2018 trailer.
I like the hex patterns and the “smooth” straight up reflective visors. I think it’d be awesome if there was a toggle for it.
Why not allow for both styles?
