When are we getting the delayed road map that will outline just how delayed the already delayed content will be? I understand that this delayed road map is subject to change, and that delayed content may be further delayed beyond what the expected delay may be.

Have a wonderful delay - I mean day. Have a wonderful day and thank you for drip-feeding us cosmetics for the last 85 days while Halo 5 got Forge and 10 new maps in that same time frame.

I said before the game was released that if they force crossplay on us and don’t do give us region lock then I’d switch to PS. I’ve already got my refund on my XSX and don’t feel the need to buy another one whilst Halo Infinite is this broken mess of a game…but now it looks like Microsoft and 343i have made the decision for me and I’ll be putting my money where my mouth is and buying a PlayStation5.

I mean, I wouldn’t go that far, but personally I prefer the xbox economy over the playstation, especially xbox live and gamepass. My PS5 got turned on the other day for the first time in months to try out that new game Sifu.

We don’t want to fix our matchmaking algorithms, we’ll just stop people from fixing it themselves.

Why not just give people the option to pick what region they want to play in?

While I understand that people shouldn’t be tampering with their games (at least if they play online with other people), if there really are cases of EU players being forced into US servers then that is a problem. Wanting the best possible connection isn’t wrong by itself, especially in this age where developers are prioritizing stuff like SBMM over ping. Of course if it somehow affects other people then that’s not good.

MCC allows you to choose what server regions you match to. Officially implementing something like that as an option would really be appreciated in Infinite.

This will only serve to accelerate the death of the game for pretty much all players outside of America.

If its only checking for a ping, couldn’t you in theory just cook the DNS entries to all point at a single server, game will receive a ping back fine.

RIP halo infinite then. All players outside of the US will no longer play this trash game that doesnt have a server select of geofiltering. GGWP 343i. I will now no longer play because aussies will always match american players on high ping. Ranked is impossible to play. peace!

Basically if what this post says is true (ie geo filtering forces other players on to far away servers) then essentially what they are saying and doing in this update is as follows…

1. Our matchmaking system is not fit for purpose as it matches based on SBMM rather than location (ie ping), and that’s it’s ok for all players in the lobby to have high ping…or a middle ground ping which we all know doesn’t exist.

2. It’s not ok for EU players to play on their local servers and have US players join EU servers…but it’s perfectly acceptable for EU players to be forced by the game to join US players on US servers…and we know a middle ground ping doesn’t exist.

Y’all seriously are the worst AAA developer aren’t you? Like, this game is actual trash.

While the gameplay loop and aesthetics FINALLY feels like Halo again (only took you smoothbrains over a decade!) the game itself is garbage.

From the UI to the netcode to the customization to the progression (or lack there of) to broken custom games to a broken theatre…I mean I could go on but it’s depressing.

I honestly cannot believe I bought an XSX (your Halo edition at that) for this absolute trash.

lmaooo that is the most blunt way to put it but yes this is the case for aussies too. The population of this game will dwindle to a point where its no longer a game that is populated by non US players. Just leave the game. Apex is peaking with its new control mode.
