The region select needs to happen now, they won’t have a player base outside of US at all sson as all my mates have given up with 230-280 ms games and can see why, it makes me even want to uninstall when get this 10 games in a row.

It’s not just EU servers!
I’m in Eastern USA and it’s full of network bugs. I’ve barley touched this game in the past two months due to the networks being so unstable it takes the fun out of the game.
Once 343 fixes the network bugs and make the game stable than I’ll be back on.
Also it’d be nice to see more variety and maps to play on developer maps forge maps are different!!!
Mean while I’ll be sticking to other games until this game is fixed halo infinite has Potential but it’s not at that stage just yet…

I have the same issue, but in reverse.
I’m in Alberta Canada and there matchmaking server is putting me on European servers at 250+ ms ping times 80% of the time. The other 20% are usually Seattle at 25 ms ping times, which I know because MCC / H5 allow one to select their Server! . Game is great at 25 ms, but with 80% of my matches are at 250 ms so it’s unplayable trash. And I’m running Solo, so there’s none of this averaging team mates to find a match.
I’ve uninstalled HI on my Xbox One X and will not re-install it until they finally add in manual Server Selection so I can play on low ping server.

Same. I simply refuse to be forced to play on US servers in over 50% of my games…so I’m no longer playing the game. Give us server selection, server filters or allow us to use geo filter so we can force local severs ourselves; and I will happily play the game and may spend money. Until then, 343i won’t be getting any of my time or money.

It’s been almost 3 months.
Still waiting on the low ping priority. I haven’t played a single match in BR servers even though I constantly play with other BR or SA players.

If I were at 343 I would take a look at the server side of Australia’s server bc even though I get 215 ping, I get no shot registration issues and less shot around a corner than 25 ping us server… then replicate the code for the other servers to test a quick patch come August
Thats because they made a garbage netcode so that your shots hit on your screen.
On the other side of the screen the player is screaming at there monitor because theyre getting hit by your bullets coming around the corner.
Only in regards to the EU, ANZ and Asia players that I force into my games. Anyone playing from NA, that connects to my forced server, will be in the same ping range as me, give or take 10ms.
My server, which is 50ms ping for me (that’s my lowest possible) is 60ms-70ms for people who would otherwise connect to their servers giving them 10-20ms ping. However, their servers, give me 90-120ms.
In a game that’s literally coded to favor the lower ping, what’s more balanced?
Me on 50ms vs them on 60ms, or them on 10ms vs me on 90ms?
Your point is moot. The game makes it moot.
I pay no regard to the cries of 10ms players whining about having to play 60ms vs me on 50ms as opposed to me having to vs them on 10ms while I’m on 90ms. Their preferred experience is the unbalanced one. In their favor.
I have almost no chance, since the game throws away my shot because they communicated first even though the input of my controller and his controller were within ms of each other and it should have been a trade.
Should be based on input timestamps not connection and who communicated first. Period.
343 created the issue and they’ll do anything but fess up to it and fix it.
Geo filtering isn’t a problem in most cases. Outside of the exceptions, which involve players from the other continents. Forcing them to play your server isn’t fair. Especially competitively.
It’s nothing but spoiled players crying that 60ms is unplayable. Meanwhile some of us, like myself, CAN NOT play on anything less than 50ms. It’s not possible.
Might be time for them to just admit they’re not as good as they thought they were.
