Definitive. this game is worse than “colonial marines”. He was my number one until now.
Anyone else getting massive packet loss and rubber banding during their games?
I literally cannot shoot or hit anything, then I teleport into walls or go from upstairs to down stairs… flabbergasting really.

Yup. Obviously nothing is better because geofiltering and ping weren’t the actual problems. Just more smoke and mirrors from 343.

This is horrible for us Canadian players as you have done nothing to address us having servers so we can play with people close to us in terms of low ping. Every Canadian player is at a disadvantage due to lack of Canadian servers as we’re forced to play the American servers. At least before I could select the American server closet to me. Please implement Canadian player servers (west coast, central, east and maritimes) so we can enjoy the game too. Currently, I just get killed all the time since you’ve made the update and the lag disadvantage I have is now extremely noticeable. If your goal was to alienate your Canadian fan base, mission accomplished.

As much as i do NOT agree with placing blame on players who Geofilter out of necessity, whatever changes they implemented made this game feel at least a little more playable.
Edit: Disregard above text about playablity, I checked the post match results and im a D5 player currently but had gold and plats in my game? Ranked is broken

If you removed geofilter because it was causing high ping why is my ping still like 500 plus in some matches?

Because your internet sucks I guess? I never got higher ping than 60 except for when wife started downloading thing on second computer connected to same internet router. Then I got up to ~120ish with jitter and stutter… Which is expected I’d say.

I dont want to play on NA servers from the uk when i know there is enough players in europe to play against, idc if they suck, so do the NA kids you put me against, soooooo id rather not play on laggy -Yoink!- servers where i need to lead my shots a whole lot more for no reason, thanks

And I could have 10 GBs up and down, and still have 120 ms when connected to a US server, or 200+ on Aus servers. Had some 300 ping on MWO on an Aus server.
Because while bandwidth play some role in how well your connection is to a game, actual real world physics get in the way of things.

Internet has nothing to do with it… if you get 3mbps your good for gaming… Halo 2 ran on dialup it’s all about optimization to the game and it’s servers… 343 did a poor job at optimizing the servers to work the best… your ping should change by 20-40 per match it should always be the same unless you truly have a connection issue…

I have really good internet (Xfinity Gigabit Plan 1200 Mb per Sec) and I still get high ping in matches! I’m getting around 150-500 ping in some matches and I live in north east USA! I don’t have this problem with MCC or Halo 5! I even ran match making testing and Internet speed test in network settings on my Xbox and the results came back as super good! And I should say I only have my tv and phone hooked to my Internet usually But still it’s says high ping, latency, packet loss and jitter issues!
I’m sorry it’s not my Internet.

B b b but that’s fair…because when you were using geo filter you were a selfish cheat and possibly making some innocent US players in the lobby have high ping. It doesn’t matter if you get high ping on US servers now because that’s what the game rules says you must play and 343i said so, so it must be true and must be right!
