Halo Infinite Update - Mid-Season Update

It will absolutely not be free. Forge will arrive with season 3 mid 2023 as part of the $49.99 weekly super omega battle pass and items will range from $3 for a base 2x2 to $20 for larger and more intricate pieces.

The UI cannot support it.

343i are doing with Infinite what The Coalition did with Gears 5… They decided to create a game with very little content, and we won’t see it being addressed until a year later at least.

Do I think this was a smart move? No. The question was never if a Halo game could get player interest, its been doing that for 20 years, the question is whether or not they could maintain its current players or if they could take some of the players from other franchise, and to release a game with so little content is bound to have almost zero chance of doing either.

Uhh 343 it seems like maybe you forgot to post a lot of stuff. That can’t be it, right? Just playing catch up to information that you should of learned from the Beta? That doesn’t make sense

So its been them not giving the armor coating promised, then we were ignored by 2 months without any response. Afterwords they gave away the HCS coatings which is basically the watchdogs weapon coating.
If they want to makes things up 1. They need to fix the armor coating 2. They need to compensate for the headache we’ve gone through with them and the fraction of the community acting like horrible individuals, give a helmet or something similar.

You wanna get a picture of of how hard is SR 152? Its longer and harder than Inheritor, by time, lack of challenges unlike in Reach, the REQ system, difficulty in base PvP and Mythic Firefight. All together while also requiring a full fireteam to effectively not go past 1800 hours. Thats why people are pissed.

No content. Only minor fixes. Empty promises. Deadlines missed. Major feedback ignored for 3+ months.

Everyone in a management position at 343 should be ashamed. This is the worst “Live Service” I have ever seen.

This game is being managed by corporate suits who obviously don’t play Halo.

I bet they only have a small team left working on Infinite. The rest of the company must be off doing other things or future games.

The state of things makes it seems as if they have maybe 5 full time employees left that weren’t temp/outsourced

Make it like MCC for god’s sake!!! I really don’t know what’s wrong with you guys. Didn’t you make MCC?

343 really needed 2 more years to complete this game not just 1.

To think that you were gonna release the game in 2020 just blows my mind.

Do you really expect people not to get bored with the same maps and game modes over and over again? Or you guys don’t care?

How hard is to make a new map? You don’t even have to make new maps - just implemente old fan favorite maps.

How hard is it to have a team doubles?

When is the final game coming out??? We are clearly in the Beta version still.

Can we look at connectivity please. When i play one match the next one won’t load in.
I have to restart the game or xbox to play another match and i have to do this everytime. No match loads into the next game and the
“Cancel searching” option doesn’t work also.

This mid-season update is… dry. It is very nice to hear the desire to fix bugs and issues we’ve had over the past 4 months, but these patch notes and fix promises are something that other live service games get every week. I’m not sure how big or small the team is nor what the work environment is like, but I get the feeling something is wrong internally to cause this much of a drought for any kind of new content (And no, I don’t count cosmetics). I can’t speak for the entire community, but I really don’t think it’s too much to ask for to get at least one new map every month or two, or heck, even just a forge variant of existing maps. I don’t want to sound rude, but it’s imperative to figure out and meet the expected quota of launch content (which, admittedly, is hard to gauge). The multiplayer is fun, but can only go so far on a small pool of modes and even tinier pool of maps. Not sure if it’s a lack of resources, lack of time, overwhelming ambition, poor management, or all of the above, and if it is more than one of those issues, maybe getting help from another team of developers is a good idea? I’m not a game developer and have no idea what it’s like working on a team of such a scale, but I also know that many issues (some of which you haven’t addressed) being fixed at this slow of a rate

  • even forgetting about the lack of content, is not very promising for Infinite’s future.

Oh, waypoint’s weird formatting messed up the last part of the post.

I don’t know about that, I’m sure that they are doing other things in this update. however it does seem that the only tangible change we will get out of it is the BTB motion tracker.

Definitely something sour going down. Employees not allowed to talk about blatant issues. Silence across all platforms. A live service game with less service than a non live service game. There’s either internal creases being ironed out by the powers that be. Or somebody’s up there is trying to cover their -Yoink!-!

Does this mean the rank rest is Thursday? Or is it still Tuesday?

Mid-season update? This is a 1.0 update to like 1.0.0.1 upgrade.

We still need a road map too. I am constantly complaining about a road map, because you guys teased it since December and it’s already mid-February with still nothing.

Something must be rotten internally such that they have no confidence they can execute on a roadmap.

I wouldn’t be surprised if co-op slips out of season 2 at this point, and all we get in May is 1-3 maps and a new battle pass. Or, alternatively, we just get co-op and a new battle pass and nothing else.

I have logged a support ticket but your Agent York keeps closing the ticket and directing me to Xbox Support, it’s only Halo Infinite crashing for me.
