Excellent! Thx guys!

Thanks for these fixes!

I’d like to hear confirmation of the visual downgrade of 120Hz mode on Series X. I’ve not seen official word of it being intended or accidental. It has stopped me from playing as often. The graphics are blurry, poorly lit, and really frustrating to see this beautiful game look so bad now.

Damn good job on getting this communication out quickly as possible and working on getting the fix out ASAP. I hope 343 starts to utilize the flighting program more before making changes like the skill jumps so that they can gauge player reaction before it goes in to the release build.

Also, lets be honest, the pros complained, so they listened. The general community has been complaining plenty and have seen very little. Another example is the Mangler nerf. Pros complained and it got changed quick. There are very few voices that actually get heard by 343.

Well, if they are going to spend dev time “fixing” things that weren’t broken and nobody asked for, at least they are also willing to spend dev time fixing their “fixes”.

I suppose it’s something.

How about the fact that I have completed the campaign 100% all logs and lockers but still the Infiniti charm is not unlock and the stances are also locked … will this be addressed? Fixed? Removed?

Finally something decent.

I wouldn’t give 343 100% praise. Certainly, this is all good stuff in my opinion. But things like the tank gun should never had a millisecond of consideration, much less a full implementation.

Again, I would like to reiterate that this post is full of good stuff, but half of it is mainly a reversal of bad decision making that demanded the full throated disapproval by Halo fans in order for there to be a correction.

Here’s the rub, 343 shouldn’t be praised for making a bad decision and then reversing it. They should praised for making good decisions, subject to the approval/disapproval of the fans.

Make no mistake, I am glad that this kind of announcement has come out, and only a little over two weeks after the release of Season 2. I am especially hopeful that the fixing of the weapon jamming issue and improved PC stability will make the Halo: Infinite experience more enjoyable.

But seriously, 343, if you want to make Halo Infinite a good game, you actually have to LISTEN to Halo fans. You have to not just acknowledge that you’re listening but also implement the feedback from the fans, competitive and non competitive. And do you know what I am NOT seeing? A reversal of the changes to the across the board melee damage. That whole across the board melee damage nerf to weaken the Mangler is just like the poor decision making that led to the temporary removal of the tank gun. Where’s the reversal on that?

343, the next time you think about making a change to Halo Infinite, you better communicate to the fans before implementing that change and decide only after you’ve heard from the fans. If you don’t do this, then it’s absolutely disgusting.

As an epilogue, if you want to make Halo Fans happy, one thing you should be doing is unlocking all of the vaulted content that was “released” during season 1 (as in not actually released) and let players have access to that content for free. It’s the least you can do.

That’s what I’m asking. I really hope not.

Thanks for listening to the community 343. Excited for the future of Infinite and it’s good that you guys know it isn’t where it should be right now, But you’re clearly trying to change that. Just a thought for the future, I think doing polls on various platforms about potential big changes etc would go a huge way. The mangler for example, I loved the way it functioned in S1 compared to S2 but that’s just my opinion, be cool to see what the rest of the halo fans think. Keep it up 343 :raised_hands:t2:

seriously I can’t believe they don’t even acknowledge it. They really removed it and ignore the people asking for it back because we aren’t HCS pros. They pretend they listen to the community but all they do is bend over for pro players on the payroll

We’d love for more jumps the community discovers and embraces to evolve as the Aquarius jumps have – to become more clearly communicated visually and have their rules of traversal become more explicit and predictable.

This is the right way to do it. I didn’t want these silly little tiptoe geometry jumps to come back, but if you’re going to update the maps to officially support those jumps and make them a little more predictable and consistent, like by extending the collision a bit or adding new map decor to make it more obiously possible, that’s good. This way it feels more like a secret shortcut, and less like a stupid exploit. Lots of old Halo 2 and 3 maps had unintended shortcuts, but most of the time they were either fairly obvious or fairly intuitive to do.

very good update, keep these up

TONK!

So glad to have the Tank Gun staying as a permanent fixture. Mirroring others’ feedback, it’d be nice to have its projectile origin adjusted so that you don’t need to jump to reliably fire. Also, being able to clamber would be great!

Give them a colored paint on the ledges, example in human inviroments you can use red or yellow to clearly mark them, in forerunner a glowing blue green, in banished a glowing yellow.

these would make htem more obvious. For skill jumps I recomend looking at dying light 2s parkor markers this gives a good way to mark things how they use either yellow or green to do so.

Good to now that those changes weren’t final. Was going to start a LASO run until I heard that Tank Gun was removed. Thanks for bringing it back! You guys are awesome.

Yeah, but Aquarius’ style isn’t one to just slap paint on. This would go more for Bazaar or High Power. The Forerunner suggestion is cool, and fits the aesthetic, as does the Banished one.

IT would need consistancy so I would say 4 colors.

Yellow paint: human

blue green glow: forerunner

Yellow glow: banished

Green marker/light: misc

Not to say “toxic discourse” doesn’t exist but I’d say it’s a tiny minority that’s there. Most if all posts on the subreddit are constructive on criticism and vaild on concerns for the game especially at the point we are at now.
