I don’t entirely agree with you on this one man…while I do agree someone piloting the Wasp with skill or experience playing flight sims may seem to be unstoppable or completely unfair…there’s a few things to take into consideration before completely poopoo-ing this change. It was definitely too weak as far as vehicles go… 1shot from a ballista, 2shots S7snipe, Hydra is 3 shots… Spanker is 1 shot…electric sniper is like 4 shots, disabled after 2… 3 with the Cinder shot… not to mention how EASILY grappled & stolen it is…also it is easily taken down with the warthog equipped with either weapon…
As it is, I’ve had more than a few matches where my team was simply being out classed in gun fights, the ball was just rolling in the other team’s favour… then I would happen to come across a Wasp…or Banshee for that matter, & it can COMPLETELY change the flow & either end up getting you the win, or at least making it a close game, which I’m sure you’ll agree is always more fun than a quick blow-out. Yes there are times when it seems unfair that the team who is already doing well gets the Wasp or Banshee… but that’s part of the game man. It’s the cheating & CROSSPLAY ping rates & different frame rates that really get my goat. There’s bigger issues than buffing the wasp my friend.
Just popped on to try out the change to the scorpion. It feels better. Not quite as good as 3 I think, but it’s so much better than it was originally. It feels more like 3, but I instantly got caught on some ground geometry that I should’ve just rolled right over. It brought me to a dead stop. That still hasn’t changed. Looking forward to playing some big team later on this week when I’m not being completely destroyed by a sinus infection.
After the ranked update while watching snakebites stream, a 2000+ onyx player, he matched against another 4 players who were all plats expect for 1 diamond. @Unyshek was in the stream watching while it happened. Another user posted this in chat.
“Uhh my lobbies have a much larger rank gap now, two 1750s, gold 1, plat 5, and a 1500” (have the screenshot of them saying this but it wont allow me to submit with an image for verification)
So all this update actually did was not allow players to play with lower level friends, all the while, the match making still allows those same restricted players, in the lobby with a player like snakebite despite the vast csr gap. Like why cant I play with my garbage friends if that’s the case? Or have a similar mode to go into without csr? I dont understand how this is a positive update. At all. Literally all the same exact problems still exisit but you just cant play with your friends. Like what was the point of making this specific change to fireteams if its literally exactly the same?
343 doesnt just hate friends, they want no social experience in halo at all anymore. i used to make friends playing halo. i dont anymore. maybe they are getting so much hate on the forums they couldnt handle us teaming up in game and giving them more?
On a side note, 343 pull it together, im probably one of the biggest die hard fans you have, and oddly enough im about done. not that i want to be, but the only multiplayer game i play is Halo and i dont want to play like i used to at all.
Idk. Im sure theyll figure it out eventually but its contradictory to say friends of that skill gap cant play together but you’ll be put in lobbies with people that exeed that gap. Issue is there is no similar replacement for those people who just want to play together. Idk people to play customs and this aint halo 3 socially. Personally to me playing with radar gets boring. If I wanted to play swat all the time, id just play COD instead. If you want to grind the ranks I respect it but im just trying to have fun. Gaining or losing CSR hasn’t done anything for me yet.
Exactly, they have their own motives in mind. Whatever makes money the cheapest way will always come first with this game, and the challenge system and all its frustrations are a part of that, I wouldn’t expect a change for the playlists or the challenge system within the next year.
It is normal if the matchmaking system is still bringing onyx against gold 5 ?? How about the unranked players looking for placement games. They were not supposed to play against another elo ? Tell me if Im wrong but it seems like faster loading times and new loading screen is a bait. I dont understand… 343 if its a joke this is not funny.
I mean this with no offense at all, but very few if any Platinum players belong in an Onyx lobby. The raw skill gap alone between those two just handicaps whichever team has the Plat player. Now we all have been there wanting to be in those lobbies with better players, but this is not the way to do it. I understand wanting to have a looser gap for now, but please tighten it so that way Plat’s don’t play with Onyx.
I WISH we could change the controls to be like that on controller. I know in games like battlefield 4 you were able to change the controls so that the triggers where back and forth and left and right on the left joystick was left and right.
