You need lvl 20 to play ranked in splitgate. You need to play social in LoL too… and many more…
No offense, but I really wish that the hardcore BR-only crowd would stop saying this.
Please remember that they updated the most popular matchmaking playlist from Season 1 (Team Slayer) so that most of the game type/map combinations (58%) now feature BR-only starting weapons. This was done without any advanced warning on Waypoint, Twitter, Reddit… nothing.
If they are going to force us to have BR-only starts in the community’s favorite social playlist, it would be nice if the BR zealots would stop pretending that it didn’t happen.
I play Infinite daily, love the gameplay and all, but man, it’s baffling that basic changes and adjustments take so long.

Drip feed content over a decade while maintaining a minimal staff and maximizing profits. Follow the Fortnite cash machine concept while utilizing a multi billion dollar property that sells on name alone while doing it on as low a budget as posssible. Halo has basically turned in to a garbage mobile game the way development of it is being handled. The company has completely lost sight of what made the games great. It’s a shame that third parties do a better job of taking care of halo and it’s fanbase than the core company does.

They cannot just phase out Xbox One players on such short notice. Once more players have the Series S/X, then we will see the issue addressed.

In overwatch you have to play 25 HOURS before they let you play ranked and nobody was “burned out”. C’mon… 343 does many things wrong but you can’t complain about this

The game should have been BR starts only even at launch. Most people who liked the older halos voted for br starts only. You can’t make a “return to classic” without BR starts
not really, the classic settings in the original trilogy were plasma pistol (HCE), smg (H2), AR (H3 and HR). get your facts straight.
also there was no “vote”, the vast majority of people who like halo like AR starts, not BRs,

Halo CE standard started with AR and Magnum. Death and respawn would give you the Plasma Pistol.
SMG and Magnums in Halo 2. BR Starts was pro-stuff
Halo 3 was again AR and Magnums for social playlists while non-social went to BR and Magnum.
Halo Reach Socials was AR and Magnums while ranked was DMR and Magnum.
And Halo 4 was doofy-dum-dum.

start a custom game any gamemode on any map on any game and it will have the starting loadouts I mentioned. stuff like the magnum as secondary in H3 were added further down the line because of (bad) community feedback.
reach did have AR + mag as default settings, but considering reach is the unholy child of bungie and 343, reach doesnt really matter.

Thoso options were changed after a few months because everyone wanted to use the Br and the magnum…
In every lobby i was, people preferred Br starts, i don’t know what world you lived in
Even bungie admitted that smg starts in h2 was a big mistake

Where did you get this horrible misinformation that 343 Industries had actually ANYTHING to do with any thing released prior to Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary?
I dunno, I got my Series X last year at barely above retail price (scalper was overstocked and had to sell barely above retail value to even net a profit. Most of the overcharge I had to pay was actually to shipping costs.)
As for Scalpers with Playstation 5’s, I will soon find out as I am planning on getting the PS5 just so I can play Final Fantasy VII Remake, Remake Part 2, and Final Fantasy XVI
I want to be wrong but even if you lunched new maps and playlists (like in MCC for example) and even forge it is probably too late for this game.

I agree with many others here. The fact there is still,
- no server selections
- no desync fixes
- no player collision fixes
Is terrible! Also, are we EVER going to get a Ranked Team Slayer playlist only?? This is such a basic thing! I don’t understand how it’s not in!?!?!?!
I like the 25 game minimum thing until you play ranked, though I feel like it should be higher… But I’m pretty mixed with this whole you can’t play with your friends that are low ranked anymore. I understand what they’re trying to do but I feel like you’re just alienating a whole pile of people that play together and that want to play ranked and can’t now because their ranks are two different.
This is what happens when you base a team playlist off of individual players. The system of you win you go up you lose you go down is far superior. Ever since Halo went too it’s based on individual rank garbage it’s been terrible and nothing but problem after problem. Just go back to that and have an individual rank as well. So you can lose a match and your playlist rank would go down BUT it’s possible that your individual rank would go up if you played well. There’s something there for everyone… Yes it’s not a perfect system, but nothing is… but it’s hell a lot better than what we have right now in my opinion. Halo is becoming more and more don’t play with your friends play with people that are your skill level game and that’s terrible!
I seriously think everyone should stop playing this game for a year or two and then maybe 343 will have it close to being what it should be.
