If you want to play with a friend where there’s a huge skill gap, you should play social

Great to see the first pod coming in June.
For me personally, my biggest ranked issue is that I can’t get a game. I’m in SEA and I have been struggling to get ranked this season. I would like the option for server selection to help with matchmaking. Hopefully some improvements there in the future.
Thanks for addressing the problems with ranked. I understand it will be a work in progress but it’s a great step in the right direction.
I hope you dear 343 will do more to encourage more people to actually play Ranked matches as well. It’s highly addictive stuff!

Fair enough… read it again, and it makes sense. I guess where I was concerned was, lets say if im unranked at the start of a new season, I’d be unable to play ranked with friends if they had already placed for the season. This is a thought because I hardly ever play ranked unless I party up with people.

By the way, these sound like nice fixes.
idea for game growth, why not implement a method in which the user can create their emblems in an editor and then they can be uploaded to the game for a small amount of credits? this way there would be more user interaction and they would be given a space in the aesthetic contributions to the game
Hey, I got an idea.
How about we just remove forced crossplay. And then, ONLY focus on fixing the broken tickrate, latency, or server registration issues that plague the game to the point of me throwing my controller across the room from getting shot after turning the corner and taking 3 or 4 steps.
Almost EVERY one of my recorded deaths had something to do with getting shot while already in cover.
I don’t care what your reasons are, but NO OTHER game has this issue to this extent. I’ve played all the Halo games for many many years, as well as trained many players for H5. This what NOT a relevant issue on Halo 5. I play it every day. It’s almost non-existent. I switch to Halo infinite 5 minutes later and immediately the games will NOT let you get to cover. It’s almost impossible. I literally can’t rank up any further because of this, dying because I “can’t” get to cover in time even though my screen & recorded video of the replay SHOW that I was clearly in cover with plenty of time left. It’s Halo. It’s about cover. Outplaying. Not the opposite.
I’ve been a Champion player on Halo 5 many many times. I understand how to play the games. It’s something that is very easy to spot. I mean, there hasn’t been a single match that I can honestly say it HASN’T happened in.
It’s not my ping. It’s not my connection. 1Gbit connection through Xfinity. Wired. 1000mbps.
Find a solution. And fast. There is some way to fix this. Don’t give us the “Well, this is why it is happening, and it happens in nearly all games” bs. Other games have fixed the perceived issue. It is possible. No more excuses.
EVERY single player that I played with that was passionate about this game has given me almost identical reports and videos detailing this exact issue. They don’t play anymore. They literally rather, and do, just go play Halo 5 or MCC.
THAT. is the root issue. Shot registration. Virtually no aim assist. Getting shot behind 100% cover. And having to track the players head after the bullets have come out of the gun in order to hit the target.
Read that last statement and go experiment with it. It’s true, isn’t it?
Fix your server/client issues. I could care less about the content, I’d like to play the game first.
Finally got to play again after several days of being unbelievably sick. Vehicles feel better, but I think the banshee still needs more health. That or more damage. If it’s supposed to be a fly by do good damage kind of vehicle then it’s still not very capable of it. The Wasp strongly beats out the banshee in that department. The Wasp is easier to use all around making it far more effective than the banshee. Because the banshee is always moving it’s far harder to aim meaning you’re not going to land most of the shots. The bomb still isn’t that effective either. It seems to only kill if it hits dead on the person. It’s a bomb not a sniper bullet. It should have a decent sized expensive radius.
I also experienced my first case of rubber banding since the first week of release. That was really bad. I also got shot through walls the next game. Getting really freaking tired of this bs. There’s no reason that this game should have these types of connection and desync issues this far into it’s first year. Seriously we’ve been doing online play for 20 years now. Why is this not figured out at this point?
Yes total amateur and new to FPS MP. The reason I got into ranked in the 1st place was to play against others at my own skill level., and to get better.
You sound more like the kind of people you described me as. I don’t find other plyers lower levels than myself to team up with for easier matches and to boost my stats.
I’m Just looking for fair matches.
Now we need to keep unranked players out of all ranked matches.
I think the update has created a CSR limit for parties, but I keep seeing the Onyx and Gold duo.
Are you sure the CSR restrictions are working?

We really need to get more armor in Halo Infinite, 343? can u please do something this. P.S put some fun game modes in we aren’t getting any more exited about the same mode with slight changes

Is the June Update already out? Today had a few ranked matches with fireteams that had a Onyx and Siver player. One fireteam was even a Onyx player and a Bronze player.

Text chat is still horribly broken for me. Anyone else? In custom games I consistently do not see text at all from other players in the lobby. (even my own team) This is really frustrating when playing scrims and tournament games and I can’t communicate with the other team.

You know 343, I’ve been playing halo since combat evolved and has always been my favorite franchise. Until now when you guys changed the ranking system and now I can’t play with my wife, my son, family, or friends because my rank is too high and it won’t let us. Which mean now I can’t play with anyone except random people. That’s taking all of the joy and fun away. Forcing us to not play ranked with our family and friends? So then i played a match with my wife for the qualifying matches for the crossplay list and throughout the match I just moved around and didnt kill anyone so i wouldnt place too high of a rank and guess what? You guys banned for for not getting a kill! I was moving around so I wasn’t AFK. As of today you lost me and a long time fan and my wife and friends and family. Until you guys fix that we are DONE. If you want to do that then make a new game type for people who don’t care to play ranked with their friends and family. Want to know how to make your fans happy? Have the normal ranked halo playlists that every other halo game has not this nonsense. And if not then fix the new ranked matchmaking. I want to play with my friends and family. Thank you.
