Season 2 is in 3 months dudes, the thing that you even mention such a small thing like skins not being centered and take 3 months to fix it makes me think we will not see the fixes to desync and region selection for next 1-2 years. This is beyond funny xD
I think everybody knows that. However, sadly I won’t be playing as often as I would while the game is in this state. I’ve jumped on 3 times in 4 weeks and racked up about 6 hours play in a month. With 0 spent.
If the game was working a full I would be on 3 or 4 times a week.
Although I wouldn’t buy anything from the shop. I would have bought the campaign by now…
I still will if they actually make a game we can play.
I got my refund for MCC on that release and bought the game four years later when they did a proper job. I’ll do the same for Infinite if they make a proper game and not this nonsense.
Passive aggression won’t make the people upset any less upset. It only adds fuel to the fire. I can understand the fix for the centering isn’t a priority and that’s why it’ll take time. But if you say it in that tone, it’s no wonder people don’t take it kindly.
I am appreciating the regular updates on here guys, keep them coming
Please add a tiny (1ms~, or better yet configurable) delay/buffer time after switching a weapon before you can do it again. All other modern FPS do this because it is a super easy and totally complete fix for this. Currently… in HALO, with a mouse wheel, switching frequently switches twice, even though you only scroll one click, and you end up back at an empty gun. It happens constantly for me and my FT and I’ve tried 3 different mice and messed with all the settings. Most of my FT have just bound gun switch to a key instead…but I’ve been playing FPS with mouse wheel weapon switch for 25 years, the muscle memory is too strong.
To be able to reliably use mouse wheel to switch weapons, with any mouse, this it needs a software side fix. It is excruciating and the problem occurs for me about 1/10 weapon switches, and it always causes death.
Seriously CS team at 343, one of you, be a hero, and find the least burnt out gameplay programmer. The nice one. You know the one. The one that all the designers like best because he can speak designer, who has a bit more patience when people say sentences that start with “can’t you just make it so…” without understanding anything about the codebase. Ask them what their favorite beer is, deliver it to their house with a hand written note that explains this problem and ask them to fix it. If you find the right person, who knows the input code, this will take them minutes… and nobody has to know! The best way to get moved over to the design team from CS is to back-channel some decent design sense a few times until someone notices you’ve got some good ideas. I’ve seen many QA and CS people promoted to design this way. You can do it if you have the gumption! Then you don’t need to read forums all day anymore. Do it for the mouse users, do it for your career, do it for the glory! I expect to see you in a new role inside of 12 months. Godspeed.
fixing the problems in any game is not something any developer can do in a few day’s.
it will take sometime’s few month’s before there fix the problem good.
since there need first l look and find where the problem is and then its looking in the coding and chance it then there need to test it if its fix for real and maybe there have found it or not or there is a new problem at the same time when its fix.
You people do not care about Halo or it’s community.
3 months to fix uncentered Armor Effects. HAHAHAH.
At this point you just have to sit back and laugh at how incompetent 343i are.
I think the 3 months fix for a broken cosmetic is very revealing of something that’s going on in the background. Did they cut all 3rd party devs taking care of that sorta thing? Something’s gotta be massively wrong in the upper echelons.
We know some indie games are made by a single person in weeks/months now. There’s no way some things like this can’t be fixed in a day. Backed up by a trillionaire company no less. I’m speechless.
Is this a joke? Because it isn’t funny 343I. I’ve seen better support from Bioware for Anthem.
do you know there is so much satire in this release, it’s like watching Laurel and Hardy. I keep thinking Jonathan Swift has respawned from the dead.
when I was wee boy, I bought a Playstation 1. the games only worked when I turned the console upside down cause the laser that read the disc was broken. it was a common fault. however I carried on turning it upside down for 3 months until my parents noticed what was going on. they took it back to the shop and exchanged it for a new one.
anybody who says that problems take long to fix, or the shop is justified, or its not 343s fault… is me all those years ago…
anybody who says the product is garbage, or 343 is a bad developer, or I want compensation (time is just as important as money) is my parents taking back the console.
knowing what’s right and wrong comes with experience not age.
I know for a fact this release… is 100% wrong.
Desync will be fixed in some update that’s coming in the middle of february.
Would someone be able to explain why there’s a certification process and why it takes as long as it does? Seems like an impediment.
You guys are losing more and more fans because your not pushing anything out everyone is burned out of playing the same stuff already and the stuff you have put out is not good shift your focus on something else like Double team ranked, snipers ranked, swat ranked, lone wolves ranked and for all those modes you can make an unranked one as well i gaurentee you will see a spike in activity people are bored with this and they are leaving cause there is nothing else to play on this game lets get things going come on
Certification is done externally by xbox. They run the game through various scenario to ensure it doesn’t open the console to exploits or any other vulnerability’s, they make sure it works with all the official accessories… it used to include to make sure it performed well but I think they ditched that a while back.
There is no way around certification, they have the final say on if the executable gets signed or not. If its not signed it simply wont boot on a console running in retail mode or be distributed on the live network.
There also used to be quite a hefty fee to submit a release to cert but I think they also waive that now.
Thanks for the reply, appreciate it
Hahaha that’s a good one. Have you considered a career in stand up comedy?
The reason for not fixing a very simple misaligned cosmetic is this:
https://twitter.com/Unyshek/status/1487250710295375872
There are 2 takeaways from that:
- They are a skeleton crew. They don’t have any extra hands to work on issues that pop up.
- They don’t plan to have any other hotfixes besides BTB before season 2.
or
- Why would we bother taking someone off making items we are going to expect you to pay us for in the S2 battle pass to fix something we gave you for free?
So I have a feeling that we will get the stormfall helmet at some point, but not the Gungnir attachment… and I’m scared to buy the individual helmet without the bundle in case it somehow makes the attachment unavailable.
