I pray the legendary visor is back in the shop
Great to hear. Other games often give enough to buy the next pass so I hope that is replicated here.
Also I still think tying 50-100cr to the weekly ultimate reward would be a good idea. 10 weeks of doing weeklies for 1000cr isnāt unreasonable and will keep people playing. The current weekly rewards havenāt exactly gone over well (looking at you sacrifice emblem). Including some credits will incentivise people to play and earn the weeklies even if the main reward isnāt desirable to them as they can save up and buy something they do want.
Hmmm letās see, how long would you think it takes players to get to 1000 credits? What if the ultimate challenge grants them 125?
Prices still need to come down a little bit - 25% - earning credits will definitely help. Please stop the FOMO strategies, remove artificial walls that restrict cross customization and let me tell you we will be spending more
Please consider scrapping the challenge-system all together. Iām playing less and less because of the challenges.
They are an obnoxious laundry-list of annoyances you need to do to progress or unlock ANYTHING in the multiplayer, and they suck up all the fun there is in the game. Play modes you donāt want to play, with guns you donāt want to use and in ways you donāt want to play (-BLAM- back-smacks etc.). GREAT GAME-DESIGN!
Challenges need to go. They simply donāt add anything positive to the game, and just makes people annoyed.
You canāt just update the S1 battlepass to have credits?
Nah, thatād be too easy and would show the playerbase too much respect.
Iād say 100 per challenge, 500 per weekly, just so it is rewarding enough just to put in the effort.
Thats just not even remotely realistic, and I would rather the shop not exist at all. Youād have enough credits to purchase the majority of season 1ās content in like 3 weeks of play. Thats never gonna happen. Thatād be progression thatād steamroll through the pace of even Reachās
Now that the shop is going to be put in order.
please fix the explosion effects to look good.

Thatās all fine and dandy, but when are we going to get some actual content?
Knowing how games like this work in F2P, season 2 or near the half way point of season 1.
If they canāt do that, perhaps earnable full armor cores?
Great news! We are on the right way guysā¦
Next we need BTB fixed, server selection by region as MCC and optional crossplay.
Ohhh⦠Donāt forget player collision, ok?
It looks like credits are going to just be in the Battlepass, so once you max out the Battlepass⦠no more earnable credits u til the next seasonā¦
Soooooooo yea, not a good start to earnable credits, they avaon arenāt hiding the fact that they just want you to spend money on that Battlepassā¦
Like they could have done earnable credits after each round⦠Makes sense but nope the business side made the choice to see if we could draw players to the Battlepassā¦
Remember everything revolves around the Battlepass⦠Ots why they havenāt made any effort towards progression outside of the Battlepass. Earnable credits are soley focuses on the battle pass. Wording is key in these updates. They are not looking to expand outside the monetization system.
I mean they could also give us Earnable credits outside the battlepass
Itās fully turned off for teammates, but there is player collision between you and enemies. When it looks/feels like youāre phasing through an enemy, thatās other glitches/network issues at play, not a lack of collision.
I mean if the credit are only in the paid Battle Pass then its meaningless, so Iām assuming they are referring to the free one as well.
This is factually wrong and doesnāt make any real sense. The Battlepass (so far, from what weāve seen) gives you drastically more value for your monies than the store does, so the BattlePass as far as Iām concerned just seems like an afterthought. They probably make 10x the amount of money from the store then the BP is what Iām getting at here.
They could but the problem with that would be that players could just āgrindā the system, milk as many credits as they could get, and it would diminish the value of the store items dramatically. Besides, there is the ethical argument where a developer encouraging players to spend hundreds of hours each season doing boring crap to get rewards would be seen as unethical.
I think earnable credits for the BattlePass exclusively is the best they could do. Less risks and would make the rewards feel more rewarding.
Idk, players grinding for credits seems better, not everyone will grind for them but It should be that way, granted Iām aware in the end they want to just make a profit ā¦
Honestly I think 343 failed to really research what the Good F2P games are doing to maximize profit while rewarding pakuers an sleeping them engaged. If a thing it seems like a lazy design on that direction which is so disappointing given the vast amount of examples they could have pulled fromā¦
But it feels like they tried to pull an Anthem from Bioware and wanted to do it their own way and not copy other peopleā¦
Which in the end was not a good move given this is the first ever venture of a mainline Halo going into free to play monetization style.
And when I say grind for credits I feel a good cap is maybe 2500 credits in a month this would allow you to buy a fair amount of items each month but not all of them on that month.
And players like me would just grind it out and save them for a few months maximize it⦠while other players would maybe use some up quickly and than have to buy from the store.
Overall I think 343 did this kinda half -Yoink!-. It just seems like a progression system outside the battlepass would have been a common sense thing. Thatās why I said they are trying to focus on that Battlepass⦠Because they didnāt even try to put a simple secondary progression system⦠I just really wish we could know how the development we t for this like how each decision was made and what was considered and why it was scraped.
Of we had that kind of transparency it may actually drop some of the backlashā¦
Like they could just be honest and tell us the games code is kinda Frankensteined together from that 1 yr delay⦠They stripped it down and peices it together with any was already ready to go and.jist said eh that works we will fix it as we go
Can you imagine being a AAA developer, full of employees who went to school and have worked on games for over 15 years and still not being able to fix your game or even know what the issue precisely is. This is truly sad and pathetic and itās to the point itās not even funny as a joke. Again no mention of the lag/desync issues in the game that are causing it to be unplayable half or slightly more of the time. No roadmap or anything substantial to the actual game the only thing you can talk about is the store and prices. OF COURSE the store is having no issues and you cannot halt releasing new items in there can you? Oh thatās right⦠343 canāt even release cosmetics without them being wrong (Cyberpunk visor wasnāt even centered properly). I hope more and more people on here wake up and realize 343 doesnāt care about us, all they do is take a huge dump on all of their fans and players while they bask in their gas chamber getting high off their own methane and money.
