What are some little details you feel could be significant from the Infinite story trailer? Throw some down!
I first noticed the system check in the chief’s suit. All the functions are abbreviated, such as SYS_CHK, PWR_CHK, and WPN_CHK. My best guess is these are system, power, and weapon check. There is one titled UHF_CHK, which UHF is sometimes an abbreviation for Ultra High Frequency radios.
But there’s two more… RUN_CHK, and ABI_CHK. The run one is rather self-explanatory, so sprint might still be there. The ABI (or ABL I can’t tell), could that mean ability? Which type of ability we have to wait to know… it could mean spartan abilities (please no… imo), or armor abilities.
Second, I also noticed that ammo packs could be returning! Right after the pilot falls, on the ground to his left looks like ammo packages in the Halo CE style. Nothing too big, I just think that it’s cool they could come back.
Chief’s armor start up also says that it was created in 2559 (after Halo 5), so this time they have a reason for the change instead of “microbots.”
Also when the pelican gets shocked… or whatever happened there… you can faintly hear in the background the sound of a Halo 4 light rifle? Whether that stands for anything in the full game, I don’t know.
A friend pointed this out to me the other day on how the UNSC emblem on the pilot’s shoulder was the one they used prior to the post-war era. I thought that detail was amazing.

I’m most certainly know run_chk does not stand for literally running or sprint. But rather running the suits program.
Abi_chk on the other hand … is probably a medical check … it tests to see how your blood Is flowing. ;w; so unfortunately nothing about gameplay there (or maybe there is ? No idea)
its a new suit of armor … yes , but it looks like an older variation… curious … I wonder if halsey had anything to do with suggestions or design.
Light rifle sound … eh… to be frank… almost everything that occurred there reminded me of the halo 4 scanning the ship or the halo 5 guardian emp. BUT … something to note that I think isn’t actually important to the story … “not again” -the pilot says … certainly an interesting statement to say there… does he mean being stranded in space again? Or about this particular kind of attack… time will tell. (OR slip space rupture indicating the arrival of enemies to deal with)

True all we can do about the abbreviations is guess. The suit does look like an older version, but right at the suit start up I was pretty sure it said it was created recently. The light rifle sound from 4 wasn’t important, just a little thing I noticed.

Yeh that would be cool to see those returning, I felt like ammo packages and health packs added to the challenge so be cool if they returned.

Problem with health packs and health in general for me is 1v1 multiplayer balance. Here is my problem with it. Lets say that some chap has gotten in a heated firefight yet has survived. His health is low yet his shields are fine. Here comes another guy from the enemy team, and HE has been camping the entire round. As a result, he has full health and shields. Seeing the injured guy coming, the camper attacks him without knowing that he is injured. Being at both a surprise and a health disadvantage, even though the injured guy has much more skill, he still gets killed because he didn’t hide in a corner for most of the match. See the problem? Health packs feel neat and all, but they ruin 1v1 fairness in battles. The best solution is a dialed down version of what Halo 5 did. Simply have a white shield bar at the top, and under it have a green health bar that is only visible when the shield is collapsed. The health bar is just a weaker shield that is not affected nearly as much by shield targeting weapons such as the Plasma Pistol. In other words, like Halo 5, just in one bar.
