Halo: Infinite TR: Issues encountered and Opinions

These are only a few things I have experienced or predict thus far. I honestly am so happy I am able to test this game out before the official release, and I hope that I posted the issues I’ve experienced so far in the correct place, but I also wanted to make a few suggestions and voice a few opinions for others who want to read it. essentially an all-in-one post. Issues first, Suggestions, and then both good and bad Opinions (including thoughts or predictions). Please Enjoy!

Issues:

  • Ravager 1 Weapon Drill Star Glitch (Already Known) - Weapon Drill Announcer is not synced to countdown (she is usually a second or two late) - Killing chickens in Bot Arena with the Hook shot doesn’t consume the equipment (I don’t know if this intentional or not, but this was my observation) - Ravager Overheat Glitching? (Hitting Spartans with the Ravager fills the overheat gauge less than it should. This results in an awkward single or double shot for the last burst [before the overheat discharge]) - Weapon Bench S7 Sniper scope glitch (turns green when oriented in a certain way) - Weapon Bench and Armor Hall Right Arm Protheses [Transhumeral] joint glitch (the joint connecting the forearm and arm is invisible) - (Training Mode) Spartan Bots will occasionally sit in the back of the map and stare at a wall instead of normal behaviors (I noticed this especially when they are set to “Spartan” difficulty, but I don’t know if it is common on other difficulties) - Spartan voice options are not shown where you’d expect it (Sure you can change your Spartan’s body & AI, but where in the world is your voice? I’ve chosen the second body preset [which I assume is the female preset], but my Spartan sounds like a dude when Meleeing or dying) *I honestly don’t find this as a real issue, but it would be nice to choose your own voice as well. Or at least match what the body presets show due to immersion.Suggestions:

  • Needler spikes need a speed up buff because Spartans can easily out pace them without sprinting (this is especially apparent in Weapon Drill Needler 2) - The HeatWave needs a damage buff or something to compensate its lack of DPS compared to other weaponry currently available (I don’t know if I’m using it correctly, but it seems that it is supposed to be used in close-quarters rooms [which is lacking in the Flight maps]) - The A.I. need a better script in deciding which weapons to use on a target (What I mean by this, is they aren’t too bright when deciding to use their alternate weapons in different situations. For instance: an A.I. will decide to use a MK50 Sidekick over a MA40 AR or a CQS48 Bulldog in a short or medium range encounter, and Vice Versa in long range situations)Positive Opinions:

  • The MA40 AR finally got the love it needed! (I love how much more powerful it feels while still having a good balance between accuracy and damage. I also enjoy that the shoot and punch strategy from most halos is still very effective as well) - Exploding Chickens, must I say more? - The Hook shot isn’t as overpowered as I initially believed it to be (I’m glad they decided to use a cooldown as well as a limited uses system) - The Spartan Bots have a good A.I. scripting, which can be a spectacle to watch or fun to play with. (I hope they have a learning A.I. which will make things more interesting) - Most weapons feel quite usable and appropriately balanced for their purposes - The redesigned weapon sounds and models were well done - The Nostalgia that was brought back to this game was satisfying (Shield recharge, game start bleeps, older models for weaponry, and the extra armor options) - Thank you for bringing back more customizations! I will become more machine than man! - Armor Kits might be cool? I hope they are similar to armor effects from Reach or a reiteration of MCC’s Back slots (Swords, Bags, or other neat things like a freaking cape!) - The HUD looks great and I’m happy hit markers from Halo 5 were kept in this game. - Weapon Drills are a good way to see how the newer weapons work and test your skills - Bot Arena is also a cool way to see how well weapons and equipment work together against Spartans - Weapon Kits might be able to choose previous models of weapons from previous games - Halo Reach armor revisits! (I’m glad this was the design decided for this game and I love how Reach armor looks)Negative Opinions:
    Yes, unfortunately I have a few concerns and/or complaints…

  • It sucks that armor color options are removed altogether, now I have to wait until I am able to find the specific colors I like sporting in a season pass - I feel like Season Passes are a plague among newer games to bait people in buying them for the “extra loot” - I also despise in-game currencies (Credits) bought by real currencies just to purchase items that have weird prices leaving you with odd amounts of Credits which aren’t enough to purchase any other items - Multiplayer is separate from main game. This feels like a smack to the face to fans who are actually interested in the story due to the additional funds they’ll need to put in separate from the multiplayer experience which includes the awkward priced cosmetics in the shop or season passes to get the savvy goodness they really want. - Vehicle/ weapon skins are extremely annoying. I feel like the MCC really flooded the loot pool with these types of cosmetics and they will continue this trend in Halo Infinite. - Armor Kits? I have a feeling these will force us to choose whether or not we want to look like previously established Spartans (such as a full set of Emile’s armor or Master Chief’s) instead of having individual pieces of these armors unlocked to mix-match with other preferred armor choices. - Replacement model for the shotgun - Weapons with no intention of returns (We’ll miss you Brute Shots and Forerunner Guns <3) - Same thing for vehicles (So long Hornets and Phaetons)
