As time goes on we continue to speculate what could happen in it or what it could be like. Here are my top 2 theories on Halo Infinite.
I theorize that it will be delayed and pushed for a March release

While this is certainly a possibility, Infinite has been in development for almost five years at this point. We only have about half a year to go before it is supposed to be released, which means it is pretty much done, I would assume. A great benefit for the gaming industry is the fact that most of the work can be done without any face-to-face interactions. So compared to most other industries, getting a product ready for launch can avoid many of the issues brought forward by a global pandemic.

I assess that most of that time has been developing an engine and world-building, which would take an estimated 3 years to create. Additionally, they need to create the story, multiplayer, forge, theater, and other add on feature to Halo, while dealing with all the complaints from MCC and focusing on that beast of a game. Needless to say they have had their hands full the last two years.

> 1. Master Chiefs death. This may be crazy but it can happen due to the new ‘‘War’’ against the Prometheans as Cortana might go to far just to get to cheif.

I don’t think MC will die, it would be terrible for the franchise and marketing imo. (Unless they bring him back which will turn out even worse than cortanas story in halo 5 lol).
Playable elites is a definite possibility though, seeing as it was a staple in the bungie games.
I’m hoping number 2 is becomes true and number 1 is much further in the future

Tbh with the current situation i wouldnt mind it.
All the devs should stay safe and minimize the danger of getting sick over there.

completely agree, I would love for 343 to be more transparent with us about what they have in the works and I believe that this will happen sometime in the next few months. I wish the team well and hope for them to be successful at launch.
Idk that playable elites would be considered a “theory”, maybe a speculation lol. Usually theory pertains to story stuff, but maybe that’s just me. I also highly doubt that Master Chief will die. He’s far too much of an icon in gaming and Halo needs to get back on it’s feet before it worries about the death of an icon (something that will have to be thought about a lot and played perfectly). I theory I think possible is that Infinite could take place on Reach. Not exactly 100% proof, but apparently the scene of Master Chief standing on the ledge in that Xbox Series X trailer is suspiciously similar to the mountains of Reach. And of course, he’ll be returning in Shadows of Reach, so I think it’s plausible that we at least see some cutscene of him on Reach at the least.
I know Chief is getting old, but please don’t kill him.
