You’ve determined all that from a teaser? C’mon.
I get why one would have such low expectations after Halo 5, but spewing negativity over something clearly labeled a game-engine demonstration makes little sense to me. Nobody knows anything about the plot let alone who or what the writers plan to write off.
The wait does totally blow. It didn’t take Bungie to make a decent Halo game in 3+ years. Perhaps because the technology was less complex. Or perhaps because 343 doesn’t know what they’re doing. Either way, we should give them a chance. The old art style is returning, which shows they are listening and are making an effort.
That’s good enough for me right now. If Halo 6 ends up sucking, it’s not the end of the world. We will still have fan-made games, side games, the existing games, and future (potentially not sucky) games that (as demonstrated yesterday) continue to improve.
Where did you get that Idea about throwing the current story arc off the window? At least the teaser wasnt much more than a game engine showcase.
And the lore fans have wanted what? Arent you generalizing a somekind of category of Halo fans?
As for the release. More games should have more time to their production given if you want quality, it will need time. Wanting to rush a game just seems like a want of another forgetable game every year. Instead of something that you could play even after online support is lost and decade has passed.
Also, the superiority of the new armor is debatable and i can go more into that if that is really big part of this topic but not just yet given its a discussion that has been going around for years.
And the armor seen in teaser seems to be a mix of old and new style so the change is not so big as it was in the beginning of H4.
I am kind of annoyed because of how long we have to wait but it looks like 343 are starting to listen to the community so hopefully it will turn out good.
We got little information from that trailer in regards to what they are doing exactly with the story. We can speculate all day long, but until there is solid footage and game play we will just have to wait and see. As for the wait, not exactly happy about that either, but I’d rather they take their time and make a solid game that has to deliver.
