If you haven’t checked out the Shop reset, I think you will be surprised. Some nice items at (what I believe) great value. Most expensive is 1000 for multiple items. You can get a stance, shoulder armor, gloves, emblems, etc. Great Steps in my opinion

I would have liked the Eagle shoulders but not in a bundle. Again frustrating because I want to have gold eagles on OPI purple armor. Oh well.

I’ve seen tons of people talking about how the eagle gloves and emblem bundle looks like they took those gloves out of the eagle shoulder bundle, and replaced it with a generic pair of gloves, so you have to buy both bundles to match. Also, just like last week, no daily items, and so another week goes by where I see nothing I’m at all interested in. How many months/years until I finally get a coating with my actual every other Halo color scheme? The world may never know. We have white with red hands and red chin this time. That’s the second mostly white coating since launch Bleached Bone. It might be 10 years until I see white and purple.

I think at this point I have enough different armors and armor pieces that my interest in what the Store may offer is pretty low. I’ve even lost interest in the Soldier Bundle due to some pieces I obtained from Season 2’s Battle Pass that have appeared that much better or enough like it.
I think I’m mostly interested in cheap coatings than armor pieces, such as the Hammerhead Coating for the Rakshasa armor but even then there’s not really any that I’m poised to drop money onto. Stances and stickers/emblems/nameplates haven’t done anything for me.
Right now the only armor piece I really want is my damn CQB helmet

I just really hope it won’t be too long before we start getting some more normal looking coatings.
All I really want is a plane black undersuit, and armor painted with only a few muted colors, without an excess of shine/polish to it. I just wanna look normal, most of the coatings we’ve been getting lately are so out there, so pompous.

The “honor guard” stuff is pretty cool, IMO. More distinctive than 95% of other shoulders/gloves with some cool lore behind them, too.
As for whether it’s a good value? Mileage absolutely will vary on that. The big bundle has a lot of filler- one more purple armor coating to add to a pretty big stack doesn’t make for a very compelling pickup, and the stance and emblems are both just okay IMO (although for fans of the Energy Sword, I personally think this stance is the best featuring that weapon in the game to date).
The shop remains far from perfect, but I personally do believe it has been moving in the right direction. Season 2’s offerings have been overall much cooler and more reasonably priced than S1’s were, IMO. As more and more content is added into the game, I think the price of items in the shop will continue to gradually decrease.

Yea, I saw what you’re saying. The “special armor” like the shoulder pads is something that I’d justify buying. I like the other should armor and I feel like they should be unlocked by different means. The value is basically 100 cr per item and I wish I could pick and choose what item I want. Me personally I’d like the gloves. The stance is cool, but I already have a pose with the energy sword haha. Off topic. I wish you could choose a random pose option for your Spartan post game.
Yea I hear ya about the store. The one thing I wish was happening now and this is me being picky. Items in the store should reflect on the armor-core based on the event. So now is the Rakshasa and Eaglestrike. I hope more is to come in the shop for them. Again that’s me being picky.

I’m tempted to buy that whole damn bundle just for the coating.
I really gotta pull back on the spending cuz I’m slowly eating up my reserved hoard of Ms reward points.

Nice. I been stockpiled for years. It has only been since Infinite released that I’ve really started spending em on something other than gamepass subs.

Ngl they really need to improve other aspects of the game before they start improving the store.
The store should be the last thing they attempt to improve, not the 1st thing, but we both know 343i cares more about money then actual fun experiences in the game.
Here’s the thing though, if 343i wants people to spend money in the store at all…Why not just improve the game?

While I do like those shoulder pads,after completing season 2,I’ve got like 30 shoulder pads for the mark VII to choose from…those eagle shoulder pads would’ve been awesome for the eaglestrike core,that doesn’t have ANY shoulder pads,lol.

I figure that it’s going to be just like season 1. Every time the even comes around they’ll put more stuff in the store for the event core to help sales as people return for the event.
