Halo Infinite Starting weapons

So, from what we have seen from the gameplay demo it looks like the sidekick is a weaker weapon than the commando and is most likely weaker than the battle rifle. I think the sidekick is going to be a gun that is more suited for campaign. So what do you guys think will be the starting load out in infinite, I think it’s going to be Battle rifle and Assualt rifle and the commando could be a pickup

Classis how? the Sidekick isn’t the M6D and doesn’t function remotely the same

I’m wondering if the game will have a rotational starting weapon system. If the game is set to be a live service style game that retains population they’ll pretty much have to shake things up- the only real question in my mind is how they plan to do that. It might be on a map-by-map basis or maybe every so often they’ll just rotate starting weapons.

Looking forward to what Infinite brings and seeing what 343 does with it.

If 343 did this it would not be going back to the classics whatsoever. As the sidekick performs completely different from the CE magnum. This also would not be good for competitive play at all.

I see what you mean and i agree with you. Battle rifle is too good, so half of the weapons become useless. I think assault riffle+sidekick is a great starting combo.

Even though the sidekick is basically a useless weapon I think it’s going to be the AR and sidekick, at least for campaign and maybe multiplayer as well with multiple weapon pads

The commando will probably behave like a long range smg

I’ll pretty much only play game modes with precision weapons, auto slayer isn’t fun to me. But I’m guessing they might have both.

I think it’s gonna be AR/BR and then hopefully there’s a comp playlist that’s BR only. Personally I was hoping the H5 magnum would come back and that would be the starting weapon again but I’m find with the BR.

Why on Earth would anyone want AR starts? BR start thanks.

Always a fan of BR starts but i’m very curious to see what all the weapons of this games sandbox looks like. I imagine there will be a meta shift as guns are tweaked post launch. I think it really depends on the map and gametype.

It blows my mind that people still want auto starts. Making the player helpless off of spawn is a foolish way to encourage weapon variety.

Fix the sandbox and make every weapon have purpose.

Well, we don’t know that the Sidekick is gonna be useless. For all we know, it could have low damage and a fast fire-rate (which the demo certainly alluded to), making it kinda like the H4 pistol where it shreds at close range but can’t really do much beyond 10 meters.

Havent we learn from AR starters in the past?
