I created this souly to say the soundtrack sounds exactly like what 343 wanted their halo’s to sound like, and I’m -Yoinking!- loving it, dog.

I sat in the menu for a bit and there was a remake of the original Halo CE theme song and a song from Halo 2 that I can’t remember the name of
It was great. Caught myself wanting to listen to the music for a bit longer before entering matchmaking. Especially the Gregorian chant

Through the Trees is amazing.
When I first heard it, I said it doesn’t matter how good or bad the game is, no matter what the section where that plays is going to be amazing.

The music is very good. Just like Doom Eternals soundtrack you can hear different music from all the different games.
I absolutely love the soundtrack. It’s exactly what I was hoping for.
For reference, Halo YouTube’s official bad boy (GeneralKidd) uploaded all of the menu music from the first Infinite flight. There is a good hour and 15 min of it.
It is very much a post-rock take on the classic soundtrack. Some people may find that controversial, but I find post-rock to be very tasteful in sci-fi (see No Man’s Sky). Plus Halo has done rock in the past, it’s fun to see them experiment with a new sub-genre of rock as opposed to simply copying Halo 2.
I think the point I’m trying to say is that every Halo composer knows that they are not Marty O’Donnel or Michael Salvatori, so they always change the sound. The new composers know this, they put in their own spin but make it very clear what the inspiration is. And it pays off incredibly well.

I really agree with you, the menu music is very nice, I loved so much.
i really like the Halo 3 “finish the fight” piano they added to one of the soundtracks.
i hate the halo 3 ost and “finish the fight”. But in this infinite soundtrack, it adds the perfect amount of nostalgia to the cool music.
