Halo infinite shouldn’t have been made for PC

I did, between the s and : and between the . and p at the end.

I got it! Ok yeah I see it, on the wall to the left. That’s screen tear for sure. Gsync would fix that but so will Vsync, but Vsync caps your frames to your monitors refresh rate. So you’ll be capped at 75fps.

It’s weird tho because it’s not across your whole screen.

Yeaaah. I knocked the VSync back on and while it sucks to lose all the extra frames, the game does feel smoother. Everything feels smoother.

Hey, thanks for the help thus far. It’s nice to know my PC actually can tolerate running this mess of a game well. I still think it’s not… thaaaaaat well optimized (Infinite. Your help has been lovely.)

Thank you very much for the assistance. Maybe now that I know how to mess with BIOS I can get that WIN11 update…

Well I can help you with installing the windows 11 for you if you want

NP.

Yeah I think you just need to update your motherboard, not to scare you but that can be very scary. If you lose power while trying to update your board, it’s done with.

HOO, that is very scary. I’ll take that risk when I can. Thank you for the pointers.

Another time! The Mrs. and I gotta’ drop food off to her uncle.

Here’s a link for the BIOS update and they have a link there to show you how to flash it…

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/Z590-A-PRO/support

Looks like WIn11 support was added last year.

Note: Since it’s a prebuild, it may be running a unique BIOS (usually just showing their logo) so you might have to download the update from their site.

if there do that then the population is at lauch day from the game is the lowst there ever is from the serie’s.
and you get more hate fans also.
you know really good that there are a lot off people that wane buy the serie’s X but there cant since there are not a lot off make and you have the scraples problem also with it.

sure you can buy the serie’s S but thats a joke console more since it has no disc station and thats the main problem with it.
also now are developers from a lot off game companys asking microsoft to drop the support from the serie’s S.

if it was only for the serie’s X/S then it was the bigst mistake there have done its then more worse to make it playable for the PC at the start there have done now and not wait a few years for it.

I disagree

Developing for PC and developing for a console is different. Yes they can both use similar things like windows and whatnot but it’s still different. They would have done a better job if they focused all their efforts into one thing instead of multiple things. If they did that and they launched the game relative bug-free AND complete (That’s a big one) game at launch the game would have taken off. If they let it be known prior to the console launch that they were going to release on PC after it would have had even more hype because people that were playing on console for that year would be hyping it up even more saying how good it was.

Also I massively disagree that series S is a terrible system. It’s a really good system for what it is and what it does. If you don’t care about discs or 4K it’s perfect.

Anytime a person or a group of people or a company can focus on one thing instead of multiple things you’re going to do a better job than you would be if you were trying to focus on multiple things. It’s just facts.

If they could have pulled off multiple launches on console and PC flawlessly then yeah I would have been more profitable but instead their launch has been absolutely a dismal. The reputation of Halo has gotten worse and become a joke.

I would definitely argue that Microsoft would have made much more money, especially in the long run! if they focused on one thing first and then expanded from there. Instead, This game sales will continue to dwindle basically every month since the game launched.

that means you also agree that it was a big mistake to release halo infinite on the PC at the same time when it drops on the xbox console since.
and that release it first on the xbox console’s was the better thing and release it a few years later also on the PC.
since the PC and console use diffrend software.

bug free game’s are now a day’s something you almost not get.
game’s now a day’s release with bugs and some release with big one’s also that are on a level of game breaking like halo infinite multiplayer.
the diffrend is what for type bug’s you get.
if there are small and not game breaking then its more normal.
but if there are game breaking bugs that is a compleet diffrend story more.

maybe for some people but if developers that make the game’s for it complain about it and ask to drop the support for it what you never see at all that the game developers complain about a console in the first place.
and if there is a lot off serie’s S left in stock that tells also something its not good console at all.
the playstation 5 are sold out same for the digital only the reason the digital only also has sold out is that it has the same setting as the normal one.
the serie’s S has that not.
its much lower then the serie’s X and thats the problem.

why you think halo has become a joke now look is how the state off the game has become.
do you see the big problems get a good fix now sadly not.
it has the lowst playlist’s selection ever in the halo game serie’s.
it has the lowst basic maps launch’s from all the halo game’s serie’s.
it has the lowst contant flow there is from all the halo serie’s.
it has since day one a big cheating problem.
and then i have not add all the broken promice there have make and not have come out at all.
it has also a lot off game breaking problems that not have been fix since day one.

PC isn’t the issue. Halo Infinite should never had been made for Xbox One. It should have been next gen and PC only.

what’s wrong with other people being able to enjoy the game? Just because you play on a controller doesn’t mean people like me on PC shouldn’t be allowed to play a game in their favorite series. I think 343i should have the option for input-based matchmaking so controller doesn’t get matched with KB/M

Exactly! The almost 10 year old (!) hardware is definitely holding back this game in more ways than one.

Yes, frames are tied to how smoothly the game runs, the more frames you see the more smoothly the game will operate, meaning that stuff like quick reactions (needed for fast-paced FPS games like Halo) will be quicker.

No, not really. Xbox uses Windows? No it doesn’t. The original team actually hacked into the windows server and stripped out pretty much everything, if you haven’t watched the series I recommend it. When the team first showed the start up of the original Xbox to Bill Gates, he was upset that Windows didn’t load up that fast and asked why.

I digress.

Xbox doesn’t use Windows, it only uses DirectX from windows (as a company) as it’s API which makes developing for Xbox the same as for PC. This makes it very easy to port a game from Xbox to PC and vice versa, even the architecture is the same as PC. When they “optimize” a game for console, especially when it’s being ported from PC, all they’re doing is adjusting settings and occasionally adding some custom settings. For an example, let’s say a game’s view distance settings on PC are low, medium, high and ultra. Xbox can run medium with no problem but high causes dips and issues. Recourses show a little more room to play with, so they’ll make a setting between medium and high just for console. This setting could draw a little more distance than medium but a little less than high. Some developers are just lazy, out of time and/or are just rushed and will release the game on fixed settings and worry about it later. This is the normal now and happens on both PC and console. Take a look at The Callisto Protocol, the game is a mess on both PC and Xbox but is completely fine on PlayStation. PlayStation does not use DirectX.

I agree. I’ve had and still currently have just about every Xbox console, thanks to Halo CE. OG Xbox, Xbox 360 Slim, Xbox One OG, Xbox One S, Xbox One X, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X. The Series S is still impressive to me, with the price point and what you get. It’s pretty hard to beat.

you know that if you only focus on the serie’s X and S that you lose a lot off playerbase at the start.
you know how hard it is to get a xbox serie’s X that there are always sold out for the last 2 years so to focus only on that type console for the game’s is a risk to lose a big playerbase and that means the company not gets money.

Yeah it’s definitely your monitor then if you’re only gwrringn75 fps. I have a 3070 in my build and I can get well over 120 fps

Yeah, poor things. But they’re what I could afford. Haven’t had a job in well over a year now. Sadly, far from my fault either.

I’m aware. But Halo needs to move away from being a launch title. The Xbox One is the number one cause of desync and overall holds the game back.

normal i agree with you and its also more basic normal that if there is a next gen console the game’s stop comming to the old gen but this time is a compleet diffrend story.

how are there then going to deal with the players that have buy the disc version and play on the xbox one then.
since telling then to buy the next gen is something there cant if its sold out in the store’s always.

in general i agree with the OP that its a mistake to release halo infinite on the PC since it has only bring us more problems.

and about desync i know notting how it works and maybe its more a server problem that players from the EU join the USA servers that there get problems with the connections.

and one thing is for sure that halo infinite has become a big trouble off mess off problems and only more become’s worse and worse.

HALO WARS 2, HALO Infinite and they release PC version and console version at the same time,
As a result, there are many bugs and problems with the finish of both works

Because stability is the value of a console
Even if you put the PC version on the back burner, I want you to make a proper work on the XBOX there.

Nintendo has achieved great success by specializing in its own hardware.
XBOX is at the helm of the service, but I don’t think all titles need to be.
