After seeing all the forge leaks and lost potential, I fear it might be too late for Infinite to come back. Even with all the issues that the game has had the past 3 months, I would put up with all of it if we could just forge like I always envisioned. The missed opportunity for increased custom maps and game types really kills my excitement to play. The community could have so much more to enjoy, yet we still have the same maps that shipped on release. Its obvious we cant just stick player created maps and game types into matchmaking without proper testing, but imagine the content the community could have had if we had forge to work with.
I remember the days of joining a friends lobby and playing some of the most fun game types I never knew existed. The community would feed off each other, creating better and better game modes that kept the Halo community alive and thriving. Now I feel that time has long past and when forge is eventually released, no matter how good it is, the players lost from these past 3 months will never come back.
