Then you my friend are a one of a kind person. I for one am not happy that I am a paying customer being handed a shovelful of crap and being told to “wait”.
343’s promises were empty and carry little to no weight. Maybe I’ll feel differently when I see the changes made. But infinite in its current state is a disgrace. Even with a good campaign and a multiplayer that I enjoy.
You didn’t pay for Halo Infinite’s multiplayer. All you payed for was the campaign, and the cosmetics it unlocked for MP.
The Campaign is pretty cool, sucks we have to wait for coop but considering the state it’s in when players “glitch” into it I’m not surprised it was held back.
The rest of the game was free. Whether you bought campaign or not you did NOT pay for multiplayer.
it matters because prices naturally set expectations, for halo I expect something the whole caboodle, and it does not live up to that price, 5 is saved by its multiplayer however.
Infinite is lacking for me, im disappointed in it both as a paid product and a FTP title, of which it is both.
Oh look it’s the “it’s free” argument. Gatta admit. 343 is genius for this because now any one in any comment section can always reply “it’s free”. What this is does is shuts down dissenting opinion and beats it to a pulp until it can’t stand up. At a certain point people just stop giving their opinion and leave all together. That’s not a good thing
Straight up facts right here………it’s a cash grab really, they know we will buy it out of faith and loyalty and they purposefully abuse that to turn a quick profit
I guarantee the store price changes were highly pre-meditated. They overpriced everything intentionally at launch, knowing that some people would spend a lot of money anyways. Their intent was to milk all those people as long as possible, and then once revenues dropped (likely below a pre-determined metric), they would drop pricing to milk the next tier down of spender. They probably have further metrics in mind for future “generosity” if the 2nd tier of spenders stops spending.
They probably have a much higher quality roadmap for all these things internally than they do for actually supporting and improving the game.
I don’t even think it’s the No Mans Sky of FPS games. It’s more like the Cyberpunk 2077 if you ask me, except it’s even more disappointing and overhyped. IN EVERY WAY. Even Serious Sam 4 runs and plays better than this!!
I’m honestly glad I did not spend $60 on the Halo Infinite campaign. And as for co-op, I’m not waiting for it anymore considering that the campaign itself is a DISAPPOINTMENT in every way and really overrated too - plus I am scared that they will butcher it and Forge like they did the multiplayer. I will forever prefer Halo 5’s co-op because you can actually select your character there!
Bro it feels like I’m looking into a mirror, I’ve been saying the same things over and over to people and they just don’t listen it’s always “just wait” or “it’s free” argument over and over again.
And getting a hot fix most likely tomorrow per their response last week lol
Let’s freaking hope so
No Man’s Sky had an incredible resurgence. 800 average players to 8000? A 900% increase to the current known population would put it at near peak population sizes
I’m sure this post is gonna have a lot of reasonable, well thought out critique. Let’s go.
There was a leak of 5 new maps in development. Tomorrow a new event with free cosmetics is dropping (according to the leak, we’re getting a new game mode in the form of King of the Hill, and there’s going to be new versions of Tactical Slayer). We got tons of challenge changes, the temporary implementation of match score XP, additional cosmetic items in the Tenrai event to replace 11 ranks of filler, a dev openly stating they’re reducing store prices AND saying that they need to implement a way of earning credits in-game.
No they said those were coming after launch. They said it long before the game came out.
Oh yeah? Cool since you know what the devs are working on internally, can you show me the “lack of effort” from specific employees who are working on Forge?
They had a team working through the holidays to get a fix ready to go, and if memory serves it should launch this week. Jesus Christ gamers are the most annoying people. It would take you five seconds to look at pinned news to figure this out.
Now this is the hottest of takes because I played No Man’s Sky at launch. The game that EVERYONE hated and got Overwhelmingly Negative reviews instantly on day 1. Halo Infinite isn’t even close to the massive cluster that was the No Man’s Sky launch.
Hey look, a comment that’s even more out of touch than the original. No Man’s Sky is actually doing incredibly well. Their renewed reputation frequently has them appear back on steam’s top sellers whenever they release major updates. They’re still making money hand over fist with that game.
they clearly stated the staff would be on vacation over the holidays. and they have already stated they are addressing the problems. it’s almost as if you don’t keep up with the information the devs are giving you and you’re here complaining about exactly what they’ve already addressed.
Halo Infinite is free in the same way that a demo, or Pre-Alpha/Beta is free, because they have about the same amount of content. In this case we were given a product absolutely no different than its beta. It is F2P in the most shallow sense of the phrase. You were probably one of those people going around saying “It’s just a Beta, wait for the 18th”.
